The Man in Black:
Remind me, Desmond, how long were you pressing the button down in that hatch?

Desmond Hume:
Three years.

The Man in Black:
And here you are, back for more. If I didn't know better, I'd say the Island has it in for you.

Desmond Hume:
Oh there's nothing special about me, brother.

The Man in Black:
I'm sorry.

Desmond Hume:
You're here too. If I didn't know better, I'd say the Island has it in for all of us.

The Man in Black:
I couldn't agree more.

[The Man in Black is unsettled when he sees the ghostly boy he saw before staring at them]

Desmond Hume:
Who is that?

The Man in Black:
...Just ignore him.

Desmond Hume:
Do you know that boy?

The Man in Black:
I said ignore him!

[Desmond sees the boy smile and run away]
