My grandson Richard killed that little boy.

Beverly Paige:
I'm sorry.

Ben Horne:
Richard never had a father. [pause] I remember... I remember riding. My father got me this old Schwinn, second hand. He painted it green, got a new seat for it. Two-tone green, kind of a lime-green and deep forest green. Fat tires. Oh, it was so hard to ride, but I loved that bike. I loved that bike! I'd ride with my friends... Call the hospital. I want you to arrange to pay for all of Miriam, umm... I don't even remember her last name, but they'll know who she is. All of Miriam's medical expenses. Richard assaulted her. She needs an operation. Beverly, take care of this right away.

Beverly Paige:
Of course. I'll do it right now. [leaves]

Ben Horne:
[smiles sadly] I loved that bike. I loved that bike that my father got for me.
