Dr. Kevin Moretti:
Who was the first person to measure blood pressure? Anybody? It was a clergyman in the year 17-blah-blah-blah. And he took a glass tube, and he stuck it into the carotid artery of a horse, and he was very surprised to see the blood rise up into the air about 9 feet. Why he did this exactly, I have no idea. I mean, it's very, you know, impractical for human beings, and I'm sure the horse didn't appreciate it.
