Narrator:
Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He liked to go on picnics with his Mom and Dad and his sister, Harriet. But one day, he brought along a special friend too.

Franklin Turtle:
These are bulrushes, Goldie. See how soft and fuzzy they are?

Mrs. Turtle:
Franklin, come and put on some sunscreen.

Franklin Turtle:
Okay, mom. I'm showing Goldie around, mom. She's never seen the pond before.

Mr. Turtle:
And I've never seen anyone bring a fish to a picnic before.
