Hyacinth:
[sitting up in bed, to a sleeping Richard] Good morning, dear. [pause] I said: good morning, dear! [pause] Time to wake up on this our special day. [pause] I know what you're doing; you're pretending to have forgotten. But I know you better than that, Richard Bouquet. You have something in mind. You're going to surprise me. [kisses him]

Richard:
Unh. [waking] Are you up? What time is it? Are you smiling at me?

Hyacinth:
Of course I'm smiling at you.

Richard:
Well, why are you smiling at me?

Hyacinth:
I shall go and make some tea. A very good morning to you. [Hyacinth leaves the room]

Richard:
What have I done?
