[Yuri is explaining the seating arrangements for the exam room.]

Yuri:
Seat arrangements will be decided by lottery the morning of the tests. It'll be hard messing with Angel's tests if we aren't near her. [To Otonashi in the classroom] Listen up. Get the seat right next to hers.

Otonashi:
Don't ask for the impossible.

Hinata:
[Grabbing a lotto out of the box.] Gotcha! [Unfolds his lotto] 20? I'm out!

Takamatsu:
[Holding his lotto] I'm number 11. That's very far from Angel.

Ōyama:
[Holding his lotto] I'm 33. [Laughing] I'm way off!

Otonashi:
[Reaching into the box] My turn. [Takes a lotto and reads it] 24. That's awfully far.

Yuri:
[Holding her lotto cheerfully] Yes! I got 1! [Aggravated] Damn! This stinks! [Stomping on her lotto] Isn't anyone near her, in front of her, or next to her?

Takeyama:
I'm in front of her.

Yuri:
Sweet!

Takeyama:
So, what am I supposed to do? [The group then gathers around Yuri's desk.]

Yuri:
Alright, I want you to take two answer sheets when they're handed out. Swap the fake one with Angel's when you pass them up to the front of the class. Make sure her answer sheet is blank. No, wait a sec. Making it look blank looks suspicious. Just write down a bunch of stupid answers.

Takeyama:
What do you mean?

Yuri:
I don't know. Write what you want to be in the future.

Takeyama:
But I'm afraid this is a physics test.

Yuri:
That's okay. Write something like "I wanna be an airplane pilot or a dolphin trainer.

Otonashi:
That's pretty stupid...

Takeyama:
How do I swap them out?

Yuri:
Hinata, look for the perfect opportunity to take action! Make sure everyone's attention focuses on you!

Hinata:
That's nuts.

Yuri:
Why do you think I put you in this operation anyway?

Hinata:
I didn't know I was gonna be a class clown!

Yuri:
Okay, that's the distraction part, and while he's distracting everyone, Takeyama, swap out your fake answer sheet with Angel's real one. At any rate, don't panic if something unexpected happens. Everyone's here to help out, okay? Any questions?

Takeyama:
Yes. I have a question for you. What exactly should I put down on the test for her name? [Everyone is completely clueless.]

Takamatsu:
Angel?

Hinata:
Stupid. Wouldn't "Student body president" work?

Ōyama:
Sounds good! I mean, she's stupid enough to put "I wanna be a dolphin trainer"!

Otonashi:
No! No! It's too stupid for her not to know her own name! Actually, I'm surprised none of you know it!

Yuri:
We never had a chance to learn it.

Otonashi:

Yuri:
Then you go look it up. Go to the teacher's office and check the class roster.

Otonashi:
[Runs for the exit] This stinks! We shouldn't be- [He stops when he sees Angel sees him trying to leave.]

Angel:
Where are you going? The test is about to start.

Otonashi:
Well, um, I'm getting nervous so... [Thinking] Crap! Now what do I do? I feel bad for her if we put "Student body president" as her name. No, that's not the problem. If 20mhtz of resistance is applied to 3 volts, how many amps is the electric current? Answer Mr. Train-Conducting Amps!

Angel:
Are you that nervous?

Otonashi:
[Aloud] N-No. N-Not really.

Angel:
Relax. It will be okay, uh...

Otonashi:

Angel:

Otonashi:
Actually, I don't know your name either. What is it?

Angel:
Who, me? I'm Tachibana.

Otonashi:
First name?

Angel:
My first name? It's Kanade.

Otonashi:
Kanade Tachibana. Nice to meet you. [Thinking] What a beautiful name. It was a beautiful melodic name. Just as it's meaning implied. [Aloud] Thanks a lot, Tachibana. You've really helped me calm down.

Kanade:
Well, good luck. [Otonashi walks back over to the group.]

Otonashi:
She's Kanade Tachibana.

Yuri:
Yeah, that's her name alright.

Otonashi:
So you did know?!

Yuri:
It just slipped my mind.
