Fernando Vera:
I'm gonna tell you a story. A story of a true "Xmas" miracle. This is the tale of a bully and a little bitch. I'm talking about a mean, nasty bully and a scrawny-ass little bitch. This bully would pick on the little bitch every day after school. If little bitch had cash, little bitch got robbed. If little bitch bowed up, little bitch got stomped. Point I'm trying to make here is, this bully owned that bitch like a Lincoln Continental, but something happened to change it all. On this Xmas of our tale, little bitch got lucky with the gifts, see? Something little bitch loved more than anything before family, God, and country was baseball. Loved the shit out of it. Well, on this Xmas morning when he got out of his little bedroom and looked under his little tree, guess what he found. An Easton Magnum aluminum baseball bat. Little bitch grabbed that bat and went right outside to play. Didn't even take the bow off, he was so excited. And there he was on the corner ball field, hitting balls like he was Sammy Sosa when his bully comes up, eyeing that bat. And just as the bully made his way up to him, without any warning bam! Blood. Fuckin' everywhere. Blood on the ground, blood on little bitch, blood dripping down the bow still wrapped around that bat. Little bitch knocked every tooth out of that motherfucker's head. Cracked his skull open, popped his eyeball out on home plate. All because little bitch saw the truth. That bat may have been made to play ball, but that wasn't its purpose. Nuh-uh. In that moment in little bitch's hands, it was there to break this nigga's head open. See, Ms. Krista, we all have a purpose in this world, and it's our lot in life to wait for the cosmos to reveal what that is. But you don't have to look no more 'Cause for you, that day has come. Want to know why? I'm gonna break Elliot and you gonna be my aluminum bat.

[...]

Fernando Vera:
Now before your boy came and went, you were calling me a little bitch? Chill, girl. I didn't take no offense. In fact, this was my bad, 'cause I didn't tell you the whole story. See, I was just explaining your role to you. That you my bat. But that bat ain't the end of the story. Nah. That's where I come in. So after being beaten within an inch of his life by that badass little bitch, the bully woke up in the hospital. It was right then when little bitch walked in like the fucking ghost of Xmas past. Bully sees him and starts crying. I mean, this nigga was scared. He must have thought that boy had come to finish him off. But you know what happened? Little bitch just walked right up to his bully's bed And held his hand. Yep. He held his hand just like so. Real soft and gentle-like. And then he got real close. He looks at his bully, all sniffling and crying. He looked at him and said "I see you now." Little bitch showed up when no one else would. He saw his bully like no one else could and that was all it took. And, Miss Krista, from that moment on, he owned that bully for life. Now, if I want to own Elliot, I don't just gotta break him. Me and Elliot are linked on a spiritual plane. I got to come at him on the same level I find myself, and and breaking him only gets you so far. I gotta break him so I can build him up. I need to wound his soul so I can be the one to heal him. That is how you own a nigga.

Elliot:
Why-why-why-why would he do-

Fernando Vera:
There is no why. You weren't the one in control. I know it's hard to go on when you're carrying this around, but you can.

Elliot:
How?

Fernando Vera:
You don't carry it alone. I'm here with you, bruh.

Elliot:
You. You did this. You did this to me.

Fernando Vera:
I did it for you!

Elliot:
No. No, I don't believe you!

Fernando Vera:
I did this because I could see this wound on your face! From the first time I met you, I just wanted to show you the light!

Elliot:
This is bullshit!

Fernando Vera:
Ain't no bullshit, bruh! The only thing that happened now is you finally faced the truth you've been looking away from your whole life! And now that you know the truth... You can use it. I know 'cause I done it. I been through it. My ma, she used to pass me around to her friends when she'd go out to get high. And let's just say, her friends... They took a lot from me. Your dad, he took a lot from you, too, but he didn't take everything. See, this shit you went through? Most people don't know pain like that. They never will. And if they did, it would end them. But the people who dig in, the ones who keep surviving, those are the ones you can't beat. Those are the ones no one can beat. Because once you've weathered a storm like yours... you become the storm. You hear me? You are the storm. And it's the rest of the world that needs to run for cover. Your power is beautiful, Elliot. It's special. Don't you believe that?

Elliot:
I don't know.

Fernando Vera:
Do you wanna believe it?

Elliot:
I just... I don't wanna be alone anymore.

Fernando Vera:
Hey. You're not alone. I see you now.

Minister Zhang:
I was hoping we could talk in person.

Mr. Robot:
You once told me that we would never see each other again. What makes you want to see me now?

Minister Zhang:
Call it a change of mind. A realization.

Mr. Robot:
Nah. If I'm hearing your voice on the other end of this call, I'm good.

Minister Zhang:
And what does that mean?

Mr. Robot:
You'll know soon enough.

Minister Zhang:
A proposal. You stop whatever it is you're planning and I give you information that will prove to be very valuable to you.

Mr. Robot:
You think I'm going to trust you?

Minister Zhang:
Let me earn your trust by sharing first. It is about your friend. Angela.

Mr. Robot:
What about her?

Minister Zhang:
You see Elliot, you think Angela's dead. But she's not.

Mr. Robot:
You sent me a picture of her dead body you sick fucking fuck.

Minister Zhang:
And you believe what most people believe? Only what is right in front of you. I expected more from you.

Mr. Robot:
You think I'm gonna believe this bullshit? You killed her. Angela's dead.

Minister Zhang:
No Elliot. Angela's alive and if you allow me, I can take you to her. Would you like that Elliot? Would you like to see Angela again? To hear her voice? To hold her hand? (pause) Elliot, are you there?

Elliot:
Yes

Minister Zhang:
I know you have regrets Elliot and pain. I know there are things in your life that you wish were different, just the same as Angela and I can show you a way you can make it all go away, just as I did for her. You can reset everything and live in the world you deserve, a world without all the pain you carry, without your past, without your regrets. Please Eliot. Let me show you the world that I showed your closest friend.

Elliot:
No I saw what you did to her. Before you killed her. That wasn't Angela. You used her. You turned her into someone else.

Minister Zhang:
Then don't take my word for it. Ask her yourself. Elliot, we don't have to fight like this anymore. Let's finally make peace with each other as we were always meant to do. Let go of the anger and the hatred you've built up towards me. Understand I've only wished to help.

Elliot:
Here's the thing. I don't need help right now. You do.

Elliot:
You don't want to help the world. You want to destroy it. You want to destroy it because you hate people for what they've done to you, and you can't look past that to actually see the good in it.

[A beat, then Whiterose chuckles]

Whiterose:
Elliot, please. [She laughs] Don't make me laugh. You think I'm the one that wants to destroy the world? I'm the one that hates people? That can't see the good in it? Look around you. Everywhere we turn, all we see is spite from our so-called "fellow man". Every day we turn on the news, we're constantly told by our leaders, our scientists, our religions that our world is crumbling and that we are the problem. We are the root of everything that is wrong, that we don't stand a chance. We are told this so much that self-hatred is no longer considered an anomaly but a given, and yet you dare point the finger at me when I try to bring order to its chaos? When I have sacrificed everything to make it better?! [She stammers, then laughs again] Please! Don't make me laugh. [She keeps laughing, then calms down] On the contrary, it is my love for people that drives me. It always has been, because I know, deep in every person's heart, they are trying to be good. They were just dealt a bad hand by a world that is unfit for us. So please, don't make me fucking laugh and accuse me of hating people when you, Elliot, wear that hate like a badge of honor! Shall I remind you of your group's name? Admit it. Hatred has been your anthem, not mine.

Elliot:
You're right. I hate people. Scared of them. Been scared of them practically my whole life. People I loved... people I trusted... have done their absolute worst to me. And for a long time, that's all I ever knew. So yeah, I called my group fsociety. Because you know what? Fuck society. Society deserves to be hated for everything you said they did, and more. Fuck every last one of them for what we've all been through. But then there are some people out there -- and it doesn't happen a lot. It's rare. But they refuse to let you hate them. In fact, they care about you in spite of it. And the really special ones, they're relentless at it. Doesn't matter what you do to them; they take it. They care about you anyway. They don't abandon you. No matter how many reasons you give them. No matter how much you're practically begging them to leave. And you wanna know why? Because they feel something for me that I can't. They love me. And for all the pain I've been through, that heals me. Maybe not instantly, maybe not even for a long time, but it heals. And yeah, there are setbacks. We do fucked up things to each other. And we hurt each other. And it gets messy. But that's just us, in any world you're in. And yeah, you're right; we're all told we don't stand a chance and yet, we stand. We break, but we keep going. And that is not a fault! It's what makes us! So, no, I will not give up on this world. And if you can't see why, then I speak for everyone when I say "fuck you"!

"Krista":
In order for you to fully hear the truth, first we need to discuss Elliot's Dissociative Identity Disorder. The first personality was created the day Elliot jumped out the window -- the protector personality. The one Elliot created to replace his father. To protect him from intolerable situations. Mr. Robot. Later in life, Elliot created the Mother personality. The persecutor, blaming Elliot for the abuse. Insisting that he needed to pay for it. Not long after her came Elliot's younger self, who emerged to handle the abuse he couldn't tolerate. And with that, he created his own family... of sorts.

Elliot:
[to the viewers] I guess she doesn't know about you.

"Krista":
[looks to the camera] I know all about them, too. The voyeurs who think they aren't a part of this despite being here for all of it. And for a while, we thought we had identified all of Elliot's personalities. But there's another one who came about not too long ago.

Elliot:
I don't wanna hear this again.

"Krista":
The truth about who you are? I think it's time. [to camera] Even they agree with me.

Elliot:
I know where you're going with this! It's not true!

"Krista":
It's okay. I know why you did it. Your heart was in the right place. You wanted to shelter him, which is why you changed his past.

Elliot:
I... I wasn't changing anything, that's... What I thought happened.

"Krista":
But it was his future you really wanted to protect, wasn't it? That's why you went to such great lengths to take down all the evil that surrounded him in the real world. That's why you formed fsociety. You loved him so much, you wanted to save the entire world so you could make it better for him, no matter the cost. That's why you hid him here. Turning his harsh reality into a fantasy. Trapping him an endless loop, to keep him safe until you were ready.

Elliot:
I don't remember any of this? Why should I trust you? You've been wrong before...

"Krista":
You're right. She was wrong. Krista never quite figured it out, did she? She never realized she was talking to the real Elliot. She didn't realize she was always talking to you. A personality created to carry Elliot's rage. The vigilante hacker Elliot always imagined being. THe one that sought vengeance. The personality that had gained so much control, he forgot. He forgot he was only just another personality. The Mastermind.
