Peyton. Look at us. Look at this day, We are practically a beer commercial! It would be wrong not to take it! So let's go. Hop on, bestest friend...

Haley flashes back

Haley:
I want to do something.

Haley takes off her shirt and throws it on the ground

Nathan:
Haley?

Haley:
No its okay.

Nathan and Haley start kissing:

Nathan:
I could love you forever, Haley.

Haley:
So could I.

Nathan:
Your my family now Haley. The only true thing I have. I don't ever want to lose you.

Haley:
You won't . (look at each other lovingly) What?

Nathan:
Marry Me.

Haley:
Stop it.

Nathan:
What?

Haley:
You're embarrasing me.

Nathan:
Why not?

Haley:
Because we're in High School

Nathan:
So what, I'm emancipated

Haley:
Is this about sex, because I want to wait

Nathan:
No i can see you caved in on that one already

Haley:
Well maybe so ... Nathan, couples don't get married in high school. Its just, it's not normal.

Nathan:
So what? I'm not normal. What I'm feeling is definitely not normal. And to be honest with you Haley I don't ever want to be normal not with you... I'm serious

Haley:

Nathan:
So i'll say it again... I could love you forever.

Haley:
Nathan, so could i,

Nathan:
So, why cant forever start today

Haley:
Hi. I had the strangest dream; I dreamt we actually got married yesterday.

Nathan:
That’s weird…I had the same dream.

Lucas:
[voiceover] T.H. White said: Perhaps we all give the best of our hearts uncritically to those who hardly think about us in return.

Peyton:
What is that?

Brooke:
This, Missy blond girl, is the Brooke Davis version of 'Spin the Bottle'. Only now, it's 'Spin the Body'. Watch. OK, you two have to make out. And last but not least; we have 'Five Minutes in the Elevator'.

Lucas:
Isn't it 'Five Minutes in the Closet'?

Brooke:
Yeah, if you're in junior high. But the great part about this is; you know how everybody has their elevator list?

Skills:
What?

Brooke:
Your elevator list! Come on! The list of people you're allowed to have sex with if you're ever stuck in an elevator with them.

Skills:

Fergie:

Peyton:
"Jack Black."

Mouth:
Brooke Davis.

Lucas:
I think everybody…knows that Nathan and I got off to a pretty sketchy start. Nathan; mutual hatred sound about right?

Nathan:
Worse. (They laugh.)

Lucas:
Yeah. You see, then a funny thing happened; Haley. She showed me that you can find the good in everybody, if you just give them a chance. The benefit of the doubt. Sometimes, people disappoint you. Sometimes they surprise you. But you never really get to know them…until you listen for what’s in their hearts and that’s what Haley did with Nathan. That’s what we should do for them. So for you skeptics out there, prepare to be surprised. So this is to my…brother and my little sis in-law, and in love.

Hayley:
Alright. I'm off. All the important numbers are by the phone.. police, fire, pimps.

Nathan:
Thanks for worrying about us.

Haley:
I'm not worried about you. Have your fun, just remember, you’re married now.

Brooke:
A girl can do anything she puts her mouth to.

Nathan:

Hayley:

[They kiss and Haley gets up and grabs a bag]

Haley:

Tim:

Nathan:

Haley:

Felix Taggaro:
Girl, you are totally fine.

Haley:
Dude I'm totally married.

Felix:

Nathan:

Felix:

Nathan:
Are you writing a new song or planning on killing me?

Hayley:
Erhhh, Officially, I'm writing a new song. Unofficially, I'd watch your back...by the way I found a new car on the internet...looks great.

Nathan:
Define great?

Haley:
Five hundred bucks great...which actually leaves thirty six bucks in the wish dish so we could probably spring for a full tank of gas.

Nathan:
You know, my wish was more along the lines of Tivo, surround sound.

Haley:
Well a car will get you off the bus before Kieth fires you for being late. [kiss] And make sure the trunk's big enough to fit a body. Just in case.

Felix:
It's called dare night... One night... multiple dares.

[Tim and Nathan knock on a front door]

Nathan:
Good evening Mr or Mrs Tree Hill resident [Tim holds up two cookie boxes] We are selling these delicious cookie to raise money for Lady Leprechauns, an organization that empowers us girls to be strong, beautiful, independent women of tomorrow.

Nathan:
I can't believe that I'm wearing a skirt!

Tim:
Yeah, I know, in public.

Hayley:
I told you; I got dressed, I threw up at my parent's house, brushed, flossed and went to the beach.

Peyton:
Ok, hard image to forget. Uh, but, I meant more like, uh, I don't know; how your heart got there. Marriage is big. I don't know how you trust somebody for your whole life. I can't even date somebody with that escape hatch.

Haley:
I don't know if it was so much about trusting Nathan, which I do, it was more about trusting myself.

Lucas:

[Garage sale is happening on Brooke's front lawn.]

Brooke:
Hey, be careful with that. It's Venetian, and I'm not talking Vegas. [to Mouth] You finding anything?

Mouth:
Just this picture frame. [the frame still has a picture of Brooke inside].

Brooke:

Mouth:

Brooke:
Thanks Mouth.

Hayley:
Hi. We didn't recognize the address. We won't buy anything.

Brooke:
It's ok, we sold my pride around 8:30. I'd rather see you wearing my clothes than these 50 year old wannabes. So I'll give you the good friend discount.

[Haley walks away to look at things.]

Brooke:

Nathan:

Brooke:
You gave up your family's money to be poor, Nate.

Nathan:
You know what they say Brooke, money can't buy love.

Brooke:
Maybe so, but my mom sure had a good run renting it for a while.

Whitey:
What are you doing here?

Lucas:
I just wanted to say hello.

Whitey:

Lucas:
Nathan got into High Flyers. And, he couldn't have done it without you, so I ... I just thought you'd care to know.

Whitey:
Son, the mistake you're making is you think I care. About you, about the team, about anything. I lost the only thing I cared about a long time ago.

Lucas:
You know, I have this picture in my room, of the team, from your 500th win. Now the man in that photo looks like a guy to me that still cares about something. We need you coach... Not just to win games. We need you in our lives. Have the surgery.

Chris:
Sorry, we're closed.

Peyton:
Yeah, I know. I was just wondering if I could post this flyer on your board. I'm auditioning bands for a local talent night.

Chris:

Chris:

Peyton:

Chris:

[to Nathan] You have any idea how many guys in the room wanna nail your wife right now?

Lucas:

Brooke:
[to Anna] Hi, I’m Brooke. We haven’t been officially introduced, but you’re dating my ex-boyfriend and I’m sleeping with your brother. So it looks like we have a lot in common.

Hayley:
Wait a second, you...you don't have a bed, do you? Did you...tell me, you didn't have sex in my bed, Brooke.

Brooke:
I'm already washing your sheets.

Haley:
Oh my god, oh, Brooke, uh!

Brooke [pointing to Peyton and Anna] They already yelled at me! What is the big deal?

Haley:
The big deal is that, first of all, you did not thank me for helping you with the CDs, second of all, you had sex in my bed, and third, you ate all the brownies.

Anna:

Haley:
That's not the point.

Brooke:
Haley's right. The point is that I've been deceptive. Just not so much that I lied to anyone's face. It's more about what I didn't say.

Haley:
Uh! Okay, there is a big difference between a lie, and a little white lie.

Brooke:
Really.

Haley:
Yeah.

Peyton:
Okay. Wait, what white lie?

Haley:
Nothing.

Brooke:
Haley lied to Nathan!

Haley:
Not exactly.

Brooke:
Yes you did.

Peyton:
About what?

Haley:
Nothing.

Peyton:
Haley.

Haley:
[To Peyton] You know what? If we're talking about bad behavior, you might wanna sit this on out.

Peyton:
What is that supposed to mean?

Haley:
It's supposed to mean that Peyton's the one you should be looking at, not me.

Brooke:
Why? She's not the one acting like a perfect little Stepford wife.

Haley:
Uh!!!

Anna:
Why are you picking on Haley? She's throwing us a slumber party.

Brooke:
Actually, she was throwing us a slumber party. You just butted in!

Peyton:
Brooke, leave her alone!

Brooke:
Why?

Haley:
[To Peyton] What are you gonna do? Snort her? Listen, I didn't throw this slumber party for you. You threw it for yourself and you know it!

Brooke:
Well, at least I didn't lie to my husband, about hanging out with Chris.

Peyton:
Whoah!

Haley:
Brooke...well, Peyton did cocaine with that Rick-guy.

Peyton:
Haley!

Brooke:

Peyton:
You had sex in her bed.

Anna:
Okay...

Brooke:
What is wrong with you! Crack-whore!

Peyton:
Slut!

Brooke:
[points to Haley] Liar.

Anna:
Man, Tree Hill's got some drama.

Brooke:
So, thanks for breakfast...We should do this more often

Lucas:
Do what?

Brooke:
Be friends

Lucas:
We're friends..

Brooke:
Yeah, but we should BE friends more often

Lucas:
I'd like that

Brooke:
But no benefits

Lucas:

Anna:
First they put away the dealers,keep our kids safe and off the street. Then they put away the prostitutes, keep married men cloistered at home. It's funny there was no one left to notice when they came for us.

Peyton :
Anna, it's not about who I am, okay. It's about who they are. They are people who hate, and they divide, and they feed off of people who don't fight back. Yeah I could laugh this off, but what about the girl who can't? Who's gonna help her? Silence only makes them stronger.

Chris Keller:

Nathan:
You're funny. You're also done messing with Haley.

Chris:
We're just rehearsing, man.

Nathan:
No, you were rehearsing. That's over now.

Chris:
Why?.. Can’t you trust her? I mean, isn't that what this is about? You love her.. you married her.. but can you trust her? 'Cause if you can, you got nothing to worry about right? Come on, man, I don't have a problem with you.

Nathan:
You see, you do have a problem with me; a big problem! You could smile and act cool if you want to but the fact is, man: I used to destroy guys like you. Daily. It'd be a shame if something happened to this hand; you couldn't play that little guitar anymore huh? Just like it'd be a shame if you were taking advantage of Haley. Don't cry rock star.. ruin your make-up.

[Principal Turner encounters "DYKE" tshirt]

Mr. Turner:
Miss Sawyer, you know we have a policy regarding wardrobe that's offensive or profane.

Peyton:
[points to her locker] Does that policy extend to lockers, 'cuz you haven't removed that yet have you?

Mr. Turner:
You know the drill: go to the office and change or be sent home.

Peyton:
Ok, Mr. Turner, have you ever heard of Victor Jara? No? Um... he was this musician, right, and he fought injustice with his songs and when they broke his hands and when they taunted him, he just sang even louder.

Mr. Turner:
Look, Peyton, oppression's not exactly a mystery to me, ok? I feel your pain.

Peyton:
No...no you don't. Ok, I'm sorry, but you don't know anything about my pain!

Mr. Turner:
Maybe so but there are counselors you can talk to. Literature you can read.

Peyton:
Ok, I'm-I'm not gay, Mr. Turner!!! But you know what; if I was I wouldn't let other people tear me down because of it and I sure as hell wouldn't be looking for my answers in one of your pamphlets!

Mr. Turner:
Policy is clear Peyton. Remove the shirt or be suspended.

Peyton:
Fine. [takes off her shirt, leaving her in a red bra and throws it at him] Can you hear my song now, Mr. Turner?

Mr. Turner:
Enjoy your suspension, Miss Sawyer.

Felix:
Brooke, just talk to me. Just tell me how you feel. I know it's scary and I know you had a hard time with Lucas. But just tell me if you can show me your heart. Because if you do, I'll guard it with my life. Just say okay.

Brooke:
Okay.

Lucas:

Rick:

Brooke:

Haley:
Nathan is in the bedroom, do you wanna start World War III?

Taylor:

Haley:

Taylor:

Haley:

Brooke:
You're gonna help me?

Felix:
Of course, Brooke. You're my girlfriend.

Brooke:

Felix:
Besides, I have to if we're ever going to have sex again.

Brooke:
[Election Speech]: I thought I knew you. But I guess it's easier to see what we want than to look for the truth. You think you know me but you don't. And that means you don't know what I can do. You see me as someone who's popular and who has all the answers but that's not true. I may not always know what I'm doing but I'll try to make things better. .... Yeah, but... that's not the only reason. See, the whole time that I was gone, I kept... thinking about all this stuff that I should have...done... when I had the chance, but didn't.

Peyton:
Well, like what kinda stuff?

Jake:
...I don't know. Mostly being with you.

Mouth:
(standing up from his seat and walking forward to the podium) I'll speak for her (once at podium) We just heard Principal Turner read a list of Erica's accomplishments. I could try to do that for Brooke, but it would be kind of a short speech... As you know, Brooke's probably one of the most popular people in school. Something I'm definitely not... and yet, she's my friend. She never cared what clique I was part of, the kinds of clothes I wore or... the fact that I have to ride the bus... She looked past that stuff. And when you think about it, isn't that what we want in our president; someone who can see past the superficial differences and bring us together? This year, Brooke's had her share of ups and downs... just like all of us. But most of you never saw it, 'cuz even when life got hard, Brooke never let it in. She was just...Brooke; tough, smart, one of a kind... And I don't know about you but those are things that I look for in a leader. Brooke Davis is my friend. But that's not why I'm voting for her. I'm voting for her because of her heart... and her spirit... and because she's the best person for the job.

Nathan:
So you want me to tell you something about myself? I don’t have anything to say. Even if I did, you’d be wrong to believe me. Trust is a lie. Nobody ever knows anyone.

Peyton:
OK, first off, I wanna say happy sixty-seventh birthday to Peyton Sawyer. You were pretty cool back in the day. Um… and to… Jenny Jagielski, who is… wow, um, like in her fifties now. Uh… your dad… sure loves you. Plus, he’s a total fox. ----- OK. Well, if you’re young and you’re watching this, uh, you guys know what you’re up against, especially if you’re a girl, it’s... sex, right, and.. and even fifty years from now, I’m guessing it’s still a really big deal. You know, it’s awkward… and… threatening… and thrilling. But, in a way, it’s like sex is the easy part. You know, it’s...giving your heart to somebody; that’s the scary part. ----- I lost my way, a little bit, this year. But.. lately it’s been better. You know, um, it’s pretty amazing how.. temptation can be silenced by a ray of hope. But.. when the face to that hope is a boy’s face, I guess, for me, hope comes with trust issues too.

Anna Taggaro:
My name is Anna Taggarro and I'm a junior at Tree Hill High and since it's twenty fifty-five, I guess it’s OK to say that... I'm bisexual. Although, if I still haven’t found the nerve to come out to my friends and family...by twenty fifty-five, surprise! ----- My name is Anna Taggarro and I’m a junior at Tree Hill High. And.. I’m gay.. and straight.. and a Latina and I hate labels. And I hope by the time you see this, those things won’t be an issue. For now, all you need to know is this; my name is Anna.. and I’m just trying to find my way.. like most kids. I guess that part is timeless.

Lucas:
My best friend, Haley, left town recently. And it’s.. been hard. You know, until this year, it’s-it’s always been us against the world. We pretty much grew up together and.. now she’s just gone. You know, I.. I understand the leaving part. Trust me, I just wish she woulda called me; before she left. I wish.. I coulda talked to her about it. I mean, not to change her mind.. or to tell her what to do, but.. just to say I love you... and I miss you. Just to say goodbye. ----- My brother’s been going through a tough time lately. I wish there was more I could do to help him. I mean, just getting along is kinda new to us. But I guess that’s how brothers are. Better to each other and worse to each other than anybody else. I also wish I could make things easier for my mom. I mean, even though it’s been a tough year for us, I want her to be happy more than anything. But that doesn’t change the fact that I need to get closer to my father because if I can get closer to him, maybe I can find a way to beat him. Once and for all - set the people that I love free. I just hope I have the strength to tear him down for good.

Brooke:
So you’re probably looking at this and making fun of my outfit, right? Anyway, here’s all you really need to know about today; if.. you fat, dumb, sexual, and a guy, you’re OK. If you’re a girl, not so much. Please tell me that’s changed in the future. Somebody tell me you’ve got love figured out, because I got news for you; it’s pretty darn messy right now. But I guess it’s always been that way. Wanting to be loved, to find somebody that makes your heart ache in a good way.. feel understood. So.. if you’re robots, or aliens, or something and you’re watching this right now and that feeling no longer exists; well... you missed it... and I feel sorry for you. 'Cause as far as I can tell, that’s what it’s all about. And that’s what I know it should be about.

Lucas:

A decision to ignore simply rise above the pain in the past. A covenant, which at once binds two souls and yet severs prior ties. And love will always be the guiding force in our lives. For tonight is mere formality. Lucas:

I miss Nathan.

Karen:
I miss Keith.

Peyton:
I miss Jake.

Brooke :
I don't really miss Felix, at all. Or my parents that much. But I miss my money.

Nathan:
[voiceover] Douglas Adams once wrote, he felt that his whole life was some kind of dream, and he sometimes wondered who's it was, and whether they were enjoying it.

Peyton:
One thing I've learned from all this Jake craziness is you've gotta grab every second you have with the people you love. Just don't forget about your "ho's".

Brooke:
Come here. You are the best friend ever, P. Sawyer. But honestly: if Lucas and I couldn't make it as a couple before, what makes you think we can now?

Peyton:
Well, for one thing, I wouldn't make out with him this time.

Brooke:

Peyton:
And another, he's not the same guy. And you are definitely not the same girl.

Lucas:
Listen, we've been so caught up in Peyton and Nathan, I feel like I haven't really checked in with you. How you doing? Without Felix around.

Brooke:
Fine. He was not the guy for me.

Lucas:
Well I'm sure the guy's out there somewhere.

Brooke:
Maybe. But I'm scared to open up my heart like that again.

Lucas:
Isn't the alternative even scarier?

Brooke:
Sure I get lonely sometimes. That's hard. But I guess that's the price you pay for figuring out what you really want, right?

[Voiceover]

Lucas:
And Hansel said to Gretel: Let us drop these bread crumbs so that together we can find our way home. Because losing our way would be the most cruel of things. This year I lost my way.

Nathan:
And losing your way on a journey is unfortunate. But losing your reason for the journey...is a fate more cruel.

Peyton:
The journey lasted eight months. Sometimes I traveled alone. Sometimes there were others who took the wheel... and took my heart. But when the destination was reached, it wasn't me who'd arrived. It wasn't me at all.

Brooke:
And once you lose yourself, you have two choices: Find the person you used to be or lose that person completely.

Mouth:
Because sometimes you have to step outside of the person you’ve been and remember the person you were meant to be. The person you wanted to be. The person you are.

Teacher:
There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart`s desire. The other is to gain it.

Brooke:
[starts breathing shallowly] I can't breathe. There's no room in Chris' ego! Can we go?

Jake:
I need you to forget about me, and move on, okay? You're too amazing to carry this around. You're too full of greatness... and I love you too much. :[They cling to each other]. I have to go.

Peyton:

Jake:
I can't have Jenny be with Nikki.

Peyton:

Jake:
You know I could've held you in my arms forever? It still wouldn't have been long enough.

[Voiceover]

Brooke:
George Bernard Shaw once wrote: There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart`s desire. The other is to gain it. Clearly, Shaw had his heart broken once or twice.

Mouth:
So Mr.Shaw thinks that getting your heart`s desire is a tragedy? I say he`s wrong. I mean, clearly Shaw never kissed Erica Marsh.

Nathan:
As far as I concerned, Shaw was a punk. 'Cause you know what? Tragedies happen. What are you gonna do, give up? Quit? No, I realize now that when your heart breaks, you got to fight like hell to make sure you're still alive. Because you are. And that pain you feel? That's life. The confusion and fear? That's there to remind you, that somewhere out there is something better, and that something is worth fighting for.

This year I got everything I wanted and everything I wished for. But in a way, I lost even more.

Lucas:
Shaw was right. As we strain to grasp the things we desire, we strain to grasp the things we think will make our lives better: money, popularity, fame...we ignore what truly matters ... the simple things... like friendship, family, love. The things we probably already had.

Peyton:
Yes, losing your heart`s desire is tragic. But gaining your heart`s desire? That`s all you can hope for. This year I wished for love...to immerse myself in someone else and to wake a heart long afraid to feel. My wish was granted. And if having that is tragic, then give me that tragedy. Because I wouldn`t give it back for the world.

Lucas:

Because! I'm leaving tomorrow for the summer, possibly forever, and my best friend is off giving interviews and having psuedo-innocent foreplay with kind-of married guys.

Brooke:
LUCAS! Do not make me join you!

Lucas:
Uh, a little privacy here.

Brooke:
No, you've been in the shower forever! By the time I even get in the water it's gonna be...[Checks water] cold! Are you taking a cold shower?!

Lucas:
No, the hot water-

Brooke:
Gross! You are! You know what? Next wet dream, tell Peyton I said 'Hi'. Ew!

Brooke:
[Talking to herself] Well... I'll see you Brooke, have a nice summer. Oh thanks everybody...

What is your summer job driving a cab?

Lucas:
I put your stuff in the car.

So I guess this is goodbye...

Brooke:

Lucas:

Lucas:
I'm sorry. I know we're friends. It's just how I feel.

What about Peyton's stuff?

Lucas:
I keep that stuff as a reminder of how badly I screwed up things... with you. To remind myself that if I ever got a second chance... I'd never let you go again.

Brooke:
