[Everett Ross interrogates Ulysses Klaue, as T'Challa and Okoye listen in]

Ulysses Klaue:
[cuffed to a chair, singing] "Don't hurt me, no more! What is love? Baby, don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more..." [casually] You know, you really shouldn't trust the Wakandans. I'm much more your speed.

Everett Ross:
I don't trust anybody, not in this job. But what I AM interested in is that arm cannon out there. Where'd you get that?

Ulysses Klaue:
It's an old mining tool that I made some adjustments to. But I can get, uh, you one if you like.

Everett Ross:
Why don't you give me the name of your supplier, and I'll ask them?

Ulysses Klaue:
He's right outside. Why don't you ask him yourself?

Everett Ross:
What, T'Challa? You're telling me that weapon on your arm is from Wakanda?

Ulysses Klaue:
[winks and clicks] Bingo. What do you actually know about Wakanda?

Everett Ross:
Um... Shepherds, textiles, cool outfits...

Ulysses Klaue:
It's all a front. Explorers searched for it for centuries. "El Dorado, the Golden City" - they thought they could find it in South America, but it was in Africa the whole time. A technological marvel. All because it was built on a mound of the most valuable metal known to man. Isipho, they call it, "the gift". Vibranium.

Everett Ross:
Vibranium, yeah. Strongest metal on earth.

Ulysses Klaue:
It's not just a metal. They sew it into their clothes. It powers their city, their tech, their weapons.

Everett Ross:
Weapons?

Ulysses Klaue:
[chuckles] Yeah. Makes my arm cannon look like a leaf blower.

Everett Ross:
That's a nice fairy tale, but Wakanda is a Third-World Country, and you stole all their Vibranium.

Ulysses Klaue:
"I stole..."?! [laughs hysterically, then snaps and jolts the chair angrily] "ALL OF IT"?! I took a tiny piece of it. They have a mountain full of it. They've been mining it for thousands of years, and they still haven't scratched the surface. I'm the only outsider who's seen it and got out of there alive. If you don't believe me, you ask your friend what his suit is made of. What his claws are made of.

Baccano! [2007]

[Fade into a night scene, where Didi is reading a bedtime story to Tommy]

Didi Pickles:
And then the wizard looked down at the little boy and said: "your wish has been granted". And the little boy looked...

Stu Pickles:
[enters with the still-crying Dil] Deed! Help!

Didi Pickles:
[to Tommy] I'll be back, sweetie.

Stu Pickles:
All I did was cough, Deed. I tried not to, but I had a feeling in my throat. And then I coughed! And now he's crying! [Dil hiccups] And now he's got the hiccups! [sobs]

Didi Pickles:
Oh, Stu. [places a baby pacifier into Stu's mouth. He stops crying and sucks on it; she cranks a baby mobile] Stu, why don't you sing Dil a lullaby?

Stu Pickles:
[spits out the pacifier] I'm too tired to sing...

[Dil hiccups]

Didi Pickles:
All right. I'll make something up.

Stu Pickles:
Good.

[Tommy holds up his book, but he's ignored. Didi yawns. The couple starts to sing, ad-libbing as they go along]

Didi Pickles:
[singing] Baby, please, rest your head.

Stu Pickles:
[singing] Yeah...now it is time for bed.

Didi Pickles:
[spoken] That's good.

Stu Pickles:
[spoken] Thanks.

Didi Pickles:
You're cuter than, uh...

Stu Pickles:
[singing; chuckles] Uncle Ned!

[They both giggle]

Didi Pickles:
[singing] Our little...

Stu Pickles:
[singing] Uh...quadruped?

Didi Pickles:
[spoken] Oh, Stu...

Stu Pickles:
[spoken] Oh.

[Dil is whimpering, as if he's scared]

Didi Pickles:
[spoken] It didn't work.

Stu Pickles:
[spoken] I know.

Didi Pickles:
[spoken] He's still awake.

Stu Pickles:
[spoken] I got one. I got one.

Didi Pickles:
[spoken] Okay. [hands Dil off to Stu]

Stu Pickles:
[singing; dances with Dil in his arms] Twinkle! Twinkle! How times flies...

[Dil hiccups]

Didi Pickles:
[singing] Slowly in the starry skies.

Stu Pickles:
[singing; getting his eye very close to Dil] Baby, please, close your eyes!

Didi Pickles:
[singing] Shh, shh, shh...you're as sweet as...

Stu Pickles:
[singing] Apple pies!

[Tommy holds up one of Stu's slippers, but he's still ignored]

Didi Pickles:
As you grow, and love and play... [tucks Dil in his crib as he hiccups again]

Stu Pickles:
[singing] In our hearts, you'll always stay.

[A dejected Tommy walks away with his book and Stu's slipper. Stu kisses Dil]

Didi Pickles:
[singing] So sleep and dream the night away...ayy... [leans her head on the side of Dil's crib. lights are turned out. Dil falls asleep. She kisses Dil]

Stu Pickles:
[spoken] Ah, that was good.

[Stu and Didi walk out of the boys' room. Tommy is in the closet, holding one of Stu's slippers. He sings his own line of the lullaby, to himself]

Tommy Pickles:
[singing] Baby, please, rest your head. Now it is time for bed. Please stop. Don't you see? I want mom and dad for me. [shed some tears while holding the slipper close to himself and hugs it]

[The camera is focused again on Dil, who hiccups a little. Cut to outside, where Spike is also forgotten, in the rain. He howls as the camera pans up to the sky]

The Minus Man [1999]

[Ferris and Cameron enter the garage, where Cameron shows Ferris his father's prized possession]

Cameron:
The 1961 Ferrari 250GT California. Less than 100 were made. My father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love. It is his passion.

Ferris:
[eyes the car hungrily] It is his fault he didn't lock the garage.

Cameron:
Ferris, what are you talkin' about?

[Ferris leans on the car]

Ferris:
Ooh!

Cameron:
Ferris, my father loves this car more than life itself.

Ferris:
A man with priorities so far out of whack doesn't deserve such a fine automobile.

[Ferris walks around the car]

Cameron:
No. No. Apparently, you don't understand.

Ferris:
Wow.

Cameron:
Ferris, he never drives it. He just rubs it with a diaper. [runs his finger across the car] Hey. Remember how insane he went when I broke my retainer? Huh? Come on, that was a little piece of plastic. This is a Ferrari.

Ferris:
Qué bella. [kisses his fingers] Cameron, I'm sorry, but we can't pick up Sloane in your car. Mr. Rooney would never believe Mr. Peterson drives that piece of shit.

Cameron:
[under his breath] It's not a piece of shit.

Ferris:
It is a piece of shit. Don't worry about it. I don't even have a piece of shit; I have to envy yours.

Cameron:
[sarcastically] Oh, thanks.

Ferris:
[desperately] Look, I'm sorry. There's nothing else we can do. [Ferris slowly gets in the Ferrari, and closes the door] Ooh.

Cameron:
He knows the mileage, Ferris.

Ferris:
He doesn't trust you?

Cameron:
Never has, never will.

Ferris:
Look, this is real simple. Whatever miles we put on, we'll take off.

Cameron:
How?

Ferris:
We'll drive home backwards.

Cameron:
[laughs coldly] No. No! [Ferris starts the car] Ferris, forget it. You're just gonna have to think of something else. I'm putting my foot down. [Ferris smiles as he drives the Ferrari out of the garage] How about we rent a nice Cadillac?! My treat! We could call a limo! A nice stretch job with a TV and a bar! How 'bout that?!

Ferris:
[drives back to pick up Cameron] Come on! Live a little!
