Bob:

Maya:
Are they really gone?

Alejandro:
For now. We've got to keep going.

Maya:
We've been running for eight hundred miles. I can't run anymore.

Alejandro:
We have no choice.

Noah:
From now on, you have to be entirely un-extraordinary.

Claire:
Right. Don't stand out in any way.

Hiro:
The past isn't a very safe place.

West:
So, what are you?

Claire:
Meaning what exactly?

West:
Meaning are you one of them? Or one of the others?

Claire:
I'm not sure I know what you're getting at.

West:
Lemme break it down for you: are you a robot or an alien? 'Cause everyone in the world is one or the other.

Kaito:
For close to thirty years I have seen my son as a disappointment. A dream who excelled at nothing. It was not until Hiro began this quest that I saw his strength, courage and wisdom. There is a legacy that I am meant to hand down to him. No, I will wait for Hiro to return. I am a man of patience.

Angela:
You killed your brother, drove Heidi away, drove your kids away. If you'd followed our plan, if you'd done what you were supposed to do, he would be alive now.

Nathan:
To think I almost listened to you. You're evil, ma. Get out.

Hiro:
You are the hero Kensei?

Takezo:
My name here is Kensei, but no one's ever called me a hero before.

Bob:
We find people and we make sure they don't become dangerous. Now, sometimes that can mean making sure entirely what they're capable of and teaching them to use their abilities for the good of mankind. And sometimes it can mean eliminating them.

Mohinder:
Who the hell are you to judge who lives and who dies?

Bob:
If I'm not mistaken, you yourself tried to put a bullet in the brain of a man named Sylar.

Hiro:
(in Japanese) Are you sure you're Takezo Kensei?

Takezo:
(in Japanese) Good name, eh? "Kensei" means "sword saint". Men think twice before they trifle with that. I thought of it when I got here from England.

Hiro:
[in English] You are English?!

Kaito:
I sought redemption by helping Hiro fulfill his destiny to save the world. How did you help your son?

Takezo:
You mustn't fret over everything my very strange little friend! Here, have some sake. Brighten your day.

Hiro:
No, forget sake! You're supposed to be a hero!

Hiro:
Oh no. I broke history.

Takezo:
[after punchng out Hiro] The only thing I have to do, is find me a drink.

Mohinder:
They finally took the bait. They caught up with me in Cairo. I'm in.

Noah:
Good. It's all falling into place. Just stay careful and watch your back. And you and I will bring this whole company down.

Nathan:
Why are you calling me?

Claire:
I don't know. I'm not sure.

Nathan:
Well don't do it again. I gotta go.

Claire:
No, wait. Listen. I know why you're doing this. I get it, I miss him too. I just- I need someone to talk to. I don't know if I can do this anymore.

Nathan:
Do what?

Claire:
Not be who I really am. And I know that I-I can't be who they want me to be and I just feel like I'm gonna burst.

Nathan:
Look, I know you're looking for answers. We all are. But trust me, I'm not the guy to give them to you. I'm sorry.

Irish Mobster:
Who are you? What's your name?

Peter:
I don't know... I don't know...

HRG:
Compared to the life I had, normal is a pretty nice vacation.

Hiro:
Have you seen a scary white man?

Takezo:
(drunkenly)You look like a fish when you talk. Like a giant carp!

Hiro:
I already made a mess of the past. The space/time continuum can't take anymore. History needs Takezo Kensei to be a hero today... (Hiro puts on Takezo's armor and rides away on horseback.) Ando's never going to believe this one!

Bob:
Oh, and doctor? As of right now your blood is the only cure for this virus. Try not to get yourself killed.

Caitlin:
Impossible. I've just wrung out a lot of your blood, and you don't have a mark on you.

West:
So, lizards, huh?

Claire:
Tell me you didn't just time that so I'd walk right past you.

West:
I figured you'd be more into whales or something. Unicorns.

Claire:
You know, you make a lot of assumptions. Is my hair really that blonde?

West:
I think it's cool actually. I'm sort of into genetics too.

Claire:
I didn't say I was into genetics.

West:
You don't have to hide everything interesting about you. Biology is supposed to be our destiny. But people forget genes can change!

Claire:
I thought guys like you were supposed to sit in the back of the classroom and hate everything.

West:
I just found this book. It's by some Indian guy, I can barely even pronounce his name. It's about everything you're talking about. People who evolved. There's a whole chapter on regeneration!

Claire:
Sorry, I left all my awesome genetics expert reading for the summer vacation.

Hiro:
(in Takezo's armor) my father once told me deer are the messengers of god. if you tell a deer your wish it can pass on the message.

Yaeko:
Heaven has already sent me what I most desire. Someone to save us all. And bring us hope.

Hiro:
(in Takezo's armor) You are too kind.

Yaeko:
Take off your mask.

Hiro:
(in Takezo's armor) There are things I could not say if you looked on my face. You... disarm me. It is no surprise Takezo Kensei's love for you will be the stuff of legends.

Yaeko:
Will it? (Hiro nods)

The Haitian:
You work for people?

Mohinder:
A company.

The Haitian:
Of course, there's always a company.

Mr. Bennet:
[to Claire] You may feel confined here but this is far freer a cage than the one they'd put you in.

Takezo:
(faintly) Sorry, Carp. I'll help you be a hero the next time around.

Hiro:
No! You cannot die! (Kensei's wound heals.) Godsend!

Michelle:
[answering cell phone] Hey. No, he's still sleeping. What can I say? The guy is tired. He's waking up, I'll have to call you later. (to Sylar) Good morning sleepyhead! You wanna go for a dip?

Sylar:
Where am I?

Michelle:
We're in Maui. Nice, huh? Feel those trade winds.

Sylar:
Who are you?

Michelle:
I'm Michelle. (reaches out to shake hands.) I used to go by Candice, but ever since I pulled you off Kirby Plaza, the police have kind of been looking for my old self. I'm going for a new look. (shakes her hair around) What do you think?

Sylar:
You dragged me off Kirby Plaza?

Michelle:
After you got stabbed through the chest with a samurai sword. Eight surgeries later, and here we are. Which reminds me, don't try to move or you'll rip your stitches. Daiquiri?

Sylar:
Stitches? There's nothing there.

Michelle:
I covered them up. I make illusions, it's kind of my thing.

Sylar:
So none of this is real? Show me what's really going on here.

Michelle:
Honey, you really don't wanna know.

Sylar:
Show me! (scenery changes and Sylar looks down at his stomach wound, tries to get up, and starts screaming in pain.)

Claire:
It was a pedicure.

West:
What?

Claire:
I was giving myself a pedicure.

West:
You're not very good at it!

Mohinder:
Someone's grouchy when they don't get their sleep.

Matt:
Molly's struggling. Nightmares, problems in school. I can't babysit her and you at the same time.

Mohinder:
And why would I need babysitting?

Matt:
You're in over your head.

Mohinder:
Thank you, but I'm-

Matt:
They abducted me! Kept me prisoner. I know you think you can beat them at their own game but, no offense Mohinder, you're a professor. You're not 007.

Mohinder:
I told myself I would do whatever it took to take down the company. That's how I can help Molly.

Prisoner:
(to Alejandro) Dude, you look like ass.

Takezo:
I cut myself, and the wound heals. Over and over again.

Hiro:
You are a hero, like me. I have power too.

Takezo:
You? Really?

Hiro:
Yes. I can stop time and move through space. (teleports behind Takezo) Hello!

Takezo:
How are such things possible?

Hiro:
Some say it's a gift from god. Some people think it's evolution.

Takezo:
What is that? Evolution?

Hiro:
It means you can heal from any wound.

Takezo:
Really? Any wound? Sword? Serpent? Fire? (Hiro nods.) This'll make me richer than the pope!

West:
I take it you're annoyed.

Claire:
What is it, West? Huh? What do you want from me?

West:
I want you to admit you're different.

Claire:
Okay, fine, I'm a freak. Alright?

West:
Claire.

Claire:
I am such a freak, in fact, that I have to tip-toe around this school pretending to be a brainless Barbie doll so nobody notices how different I am. 'Cause if they found out, I'd be carted off to some human zoo where I'd be poked and prodded at for the rest of my life. So yeah, West, I'm different. And you can tell the world if you want to because I'm tired of pretending to be someone I'm not.

West:
Claire, shut up. (lifts her up and flies.)

Sylar:
Everything that I've been working for, everything I had, is gone.

Sylar:
You? How you are going to help? You gonna make me some more eggs?

Michelle:
By making it easy. By making it fun. I can take you anywhere you wanna go. Paris. London. How about Japan? And I can be anyone you want me to be. [morphs into a Japanese woman in a kimono.] (Suggestively)If your fantasy is exotic...[morphs into two blonde twins who touch Sylar on the arms before walking off.]...Or more run of the mill.[morphs into Sylar himself.]...Or something more familiar...if that's what you're into. (returns to her own form.) (returns to her normal tone.)You see? I can help you. We were meant to do this together.

Sylar:
[Considers her, looking thoughtful. He stands and walks to her, whispering seductively before smashing a cup into her head and killing her.] I underestimated you. You truly are extraordinary...Just like me. You were right. I am gonna get my abilities back. Starting with yours.

Ricky:
(to Peter) I may not know what you are, but I know who you are. You're one of us. And we have no secrets in the family.

Noah:
Claire, your mother and I need to talk to you. About boys.

Claire:
Oh please, not the sex talk again, it was painful enough the first time.

Claire:
Dad, believe it or not, there are people in the world who aren't out to get us.

Matt:
It's getting worse. Two a night now. I'm trying to listen in, get in her head. I keep getting thrown back.

Mohinder:
So what are we supposed to do?

Matt:
I don't know. You're the scientist!

Mohinder:
That doesn't exactly make me an expert on nightmares.

Matt:
That makes two of us.

Nathan:
I know I haven't been around, and I'm sorry about that. But I'm coming home. I promise. And what do Petrelli's do when they make promises?

Nathan's children:
Keep them!

Maya:
So, you are from California?

Derek:
California?

Maya:
Mm-hmm, on the license on the car, it says California.

Derek:
Oh, that. No, I just picked the car up there. I'm actually from Jersey.

Maya:
This is very, very close to New York. We are going to New York, my brother and I-

Derek:
Look, I can take you guys pretty far, but when we get to the border, chances are they're gonna be looking for all of us.

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) What's he saying?

Maya:
(in Spanish) He says they'll be looking for us at the bord- (Derek stops the car because there's someone lying in the middle of the road. They all get out of the car to look.) Oh my god!

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) What happened to him?

Derek:
Dude looks dead. (The three of them turn him over.)

Sylar:
(voice hoarse) Help me.

West:
Hi.

Claire:
Hi.

West:
I can't stop thinking about yesterday. It was amazing! I finally found someone I can be myself with.

Claire:
Uh... about that. I-I'm not sure we should hang out anymore. It's just my parents are really overprotective.

West:
Is this because we flew together? It weirded you out, didn't it?

Matt:
I can read your mind. Just like I read your mother's, but I can't tell my partner what I know or how I know it.

Nathan:
Are you reading my mind right now?

Matt:
No-yes, sorry.

Angela:
(to Nathan) Don't let your children hate you. Not if you can help it.

Maya:
(in Spanish) It's a miracle! A sign from God, we're on the right path. (in English to Sylar) Thank you! I don't know what to say, I don't even know your name!

Sylar:
It's Gabriel. (looks down at broken watch and his eyes fix on the word "Sylar" at the top.) Gabriel Gray.

Maya:
Gabriel. Oh! Like the angel.

Sylar:
Yeah. (turns away from Maya.) Just like the angel.

Monica:
I don't know. Maybe God's punishing me.

Camille:
Now why would he do that?

Monica:
For being selfish. I pray for it every Sunday in church, for God to find me a way out of here. Everybody else is praying for the community, to put things back together, to give them strength. Not me. I'm just praying for a way out.

Claire:
You caught me.

West:
Of course I did.

Claire:
But I would have been fine.

West:
I know you can heal, Claire, but I never want to see you hurt.

Derek:
Gabriel. Come here, check this out. There are killers. In the car with us.

Sylar:
What?

Derek:
Homocidio. Right there.

Sylar:
Well, golly, they seem so...

Derek:
Dude, I have been riding with them for two days! We gotta ditch 'em.

Sylar:
Okay. Um. Alright, I'll distract them. And you- you go call the police. There's a pay phone right inside. (Derek goes to find the pay phone, and Sylar picks up brick and walks after him.)

Maya:
(in Spanish) Derek is calling the police! (Maya and Sylar's eyes go black.)

Sylar:
What are you doing to me?! (Alejandro grabs Maya's hands.)

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) Calm down, calm down, calm down... (their eyes return to normal.)

Sylar:
You both... have powers?

Maya:
This is not our fault! We don't know what is happening to us.

Sylar:
That's why you need to find Dr. Suresh.

Maya:
Yes.

Sylar:
Believe me, I understand what you're going through. To be held responsible for things you didn't mean to do. Being hunted. I've helped Suresh with so many people like you, he'll know what to do.

Maya:
But the police!

Sylar:
(holds up car keys) They'll have to catch us first.

Mohinder:
Molly's finally settling down.

Matt:
I'm sorry.

Mohinder:
Did you know?

Matt:
No, I'm sorry. The thing is, Molly has to find my father.

Mohinder:
That is out of the question.

Matt:
A lot of people in this photo are dead. This guy, dead. This guy, dead! Kaito Nakamura, murdered. Angela Petrelli, attacked. This is my dad. He may already be dead, he may be the next victim. He may be the killer! I have to find that out.

Mohinder:
Okay, this man here, this is the man I work for. His name is Bob, I'll take you to him.

Matt:
Fine. After we find my dad.

Mohinder:
You leave Molly out of this! You are asking a little girl to confront her worst nightmare!

Matt:
Maybe confronting it is exactly what she needs!

Mohinder:
Oh, so this is all about helping Molly? Because to me it sounds like a thirteen-year-old boy trying to make his daddy pay for leaving him!

Matt:
And you know everything about daddy issues?

Mohinder:
Yeah, I do.

Mohinder:
(voiceover) When confronted by our worst nightmares, the choices are few. Fight, or flight. We hope to find the strength to stand against our fears but sometimes, despite ourselves, we run.What if the nightmare gives chase? Where can we hide then?

Mohinder:
[to Matt] Molly faced her worst nightmare for you. Do the same for her.

Nathan:
Let me come with you.

Matt:
Fine. We can probably get there faster, 'cause you can- you know-?

Nathan:
I'm not a cargo jet, Parkman.

Maury:
We thought we could help people, save the world.

Matt:
The only thing you've ever wanted to save is your own ass.

Maury:
Still angry, huh Matt? Feel better, slapping the cuffs on your dad, making you feel good?

Matt:
It's starting to, yeah.

Noah:
The moment you trust them with what you care about most, they'll have you. Don't forget whose side your on.

Mohinder:
This is how you help people? By tazering them?

Bob:
Well, that's just standard procedure to make sure everyone's safe. A lot of people we encounter aren't in control of their abilities. But trust me, it's easier to apologize than ask permission.

Elle:
Y'know, I've never been in an Irish pub before. Do you have haggis?

Ricky:
That's Scotland, love. We have stew. And mussels. And stew.

Ricky:
I'm sorry I couldn't be anymore help.

Elle:
Yeah, so am I.

Matt:
You said I wasn't the father.

Janice:
But you read minds. You looked into my head and saw the truth, but you still left.

Matt:
No. No I didn't. I didn't know!

Janice:
You left him, just like your father left you. Just like you're gonna leave Molly.

Matt:
No!

Nathan:
(to his other self) You don't want redemption. You want ignorance.

Mohinder:
[to Monica] I'm sure you have lots of questions about what's happening to you. Well, I have some answers.

Peter:
The plane ticket, the painting. It all points to Montreal. It's a start.

Caitlin:
I'm going with you.

Peter:
No, I'm not risking your life too.

Caitlin:
We were both in that Montreal painting. I think I'm supposed to go with you, Peter. Besides, when you find Ricky's killer, I want to be there.

Peter:
What for?

Caitlin:
To kill the bitch.

Sylar:
Your ability is fascinating. A gift.

Maya:
What I do is terrible. I have taken many lives, and I can't control it.

Sylar:
I was like you. I could do things, amazing things.

Maya:
You? Like what?

Sylar:
I could move objects with my mind. I could hear a pin drop from miles away. But then it all just... went away. That's why I need to see Dr. Suresh. To get them back.

Maya:
You want to be different?

Sylar:
I want to be special. Unique. An ability doesn't have to be a burden, Maya. (Sylar reaches over and strokes Maya's hair.) It can be wonderful. (Alejandro wakes up and Sylar moves away from Maya.)

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) Stop at the next gas station. I need to find a coyote to take us across.

Maya:
(in Spanish) What? What about Gabriel?

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) I don't trust him, Maya. I see the way he looks at you. Why is he still here?

Sylar:
Is there a problem?

Maya:
My brother wants to hire a coyote, to cross the border without you.

Sylar:
Why? You can't trust them.

Maya:
(in Spanish) God delivered Gabriel to us, Alejandro. We should put our faith in him. (in English) It's okay. We will cross the border together. I'm glad to have found you, Gabriel.

Hiro:
Tonight, we will attack. Three of us against an army. But even with powers, I fear for the sword smith's life. And for Yaeko. The woman I love, but cannot have.

Ivan:
I'm like you. Family comes first. Maybe we can make a deal.

Noah:
What kind of deal?

Ivan:
You were my protégé, so dedicated to the company you made me proud. I miss that. I want you back.

Noah:
Forget it.

Maya:
What is that?

Sylar:
A border fence, not finished yet. That is America right there.

Maya:
(in Spanish) Alejandro, we made it! That's the United States. (Maya drives through the fence, and police cars surround them.)

Police:
Attention, you're in violation of US immigration. We have notified border patrol. All right boys, andale, andale. Come out with your hands up.

Maya:
Who are they?

Sylar:
They're locals. Not border patrol. They're fake police, just drive around them. (Policeman cocks his gun.)

Maya:
(in Spanish) God help us.

Police:
Alright boys, this is your last warning. Vamanos!

Sylar:
We have to go.

Maya:
They will shoot us!

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) We never should have listened to him--

Maya:
(in Spanish) Alejandro, stop!

Sylar:
(yelling) Just drive, now!

Maya:
(in Spanish) It's happening.

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) Give me your hand! (Alejandro reaches for Maya's hand as Sylar smacks it away and grabs Maya's wrist.)

Sylar:
No, no, no, no, no. Let her alone.

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) What are you doing?! You'll die!

Sylar:
We need to get past these men, these guns. You can use your gift. (Policemen still banging around the car and yelling at them.)

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) Maya take my hand, hurry.

Maya:
No. (Maya's eyes turn black.)

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) Maya, what are you doing!? (men collapse around the car and Sylar's eyes go black.)

Sylar:
(faintly) Drive.

Debbie:
The next time you think of that second helping of chunky monkey, remember one thing: the sharpie doesn't lie. Appearance matters girls.

Yaeko:
Father! We came to save you.

Hiro:
I am Hiro. And this is the great swordsman Takezo Kensei. He has come to save you.

Yaeko's father:
Kensei? I thought you were a drunk.

Kensei:
Turns out, I'm a hero.

Bob:
But right now I'm dealing with someone who is a real danger to us, to everyone. And I'm afraid that in my haste to deal with him I overstepped my bounds.

Mohinder:
The file you were holding, Adam Monroe.

Bob:
Yes. You're valuable to us, Dr. Suresh. Not just for your blood or your knowledge, but to keep us in line.

Yaeko:
How did we get here, Hiro?

Hiro:
I don't know. We should find Kensei. He'll explain everything

Yaeko:
No, you did it. You held me, and then we were here. You can move people from one place to another. (Yaeko covers Hiro's mouth.) You... with a mask. It was you, Hiro. All this time. It was you that did all those amazing things.

Hiro:
I only wanted to fix history.

Yaeko:
You saved me from the brigands. You were the one under the cherry blossoms. Do you... love me, Hiro?

Hiro:
I do. Very much.

Yaeko:
Everything I loved in Kensei came from you.

Hiro:
It was the kiss that fractured time.

Maya:
(in Spanish) Alejandro! Stop! I did what I had to do, for all of us!

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) Listen to what you're saying! You're a killer, because of him. I won't do this. You have to choose. Either he goes, or I do.

Maya:
(in Spanish) Don't, Alejandro. We need Gabriel. He can take us to Dr. Suresh. To salvation!

Alejandro:
(in Spanish) Fine. He can stay. But the next time your eyes blacken, don't look for my hand. It won't be there. I will let him die. (Alejandro moves away.)

Maya:
(to Sylar) I will get something for your lip. (Maya walks away.)

Sylar:
I know you don't understand me, but I want to tell you why I'm helping you. It's that delicious power. You see, when I get my abilities back, I'm gonna kill you... and your sister. And I'm gonna take it all. And if I don't get my ability back, it's not a total loss. Maya's learning quickly. She's a shiny new toy, and she's all mine. (Sylar smiles.)

Hiro:
Kensei! I've been searching for hours. Come my friend, we must go back and destroy White Beard's guns.

Kensei:
If you want to stop him do it yourself.

Hiro:
Something wrong?

Kensei:
I saw you Hiro. After I saved the swordsmith I came looking for you, afraid something happened to Yaeko, 'cause I love her. And you, friend, betrayed me.

Hiro:
No-

Kensei:
Yes, you kissed her.

Hiro:
It happened by accident.

Kensei:
You accidentally kissed her?

Hiro:
I accidentally fell in love with her. And she with me. I'm so sorry.

Kensei:
So you've been lying to me all along. First you show me that I can be harmed by no weapon and then you hurt me deeper than any blade possibly could.

Hiro:
She's your princess, Kensei. I know that. And I swear I will not give into love. That kiss will be our last.

Hiro:
Why is everything so purple?

Matt:
(to Molly) I'm supposed to be out hunting Maury, but I had to see you. I never should have asked you to use your ability to find my dad. You were just trying to make me happy. I know that feeling. When my dad left, I blamed myself. I thought that I was too slow. Too fat. Too stupid. I thought that if I was better, if I was smarter, he would have stayed. And now they want me- they think that I can stop him, that I've got this power. And I don't. I don't. I need you to hear, I need you to know that I love you. (Molly's stats go up for a moment.) Did you just hear me? Molly?

Kensei:
We did make a good time you and I. You showed me how to be a hero. How to love. And then you took it all away. Do it, stop time, kill me, chop off my head.

Hiro:
I will not do it. I still have faith in you.

Kensei:
The honorable Hiro Nakamura. He won't kill you, he'll just lie, and steal.

Hiro:
I wanted to help you become a hero!

Kensei:
As long as I have breath anything you love I will lay to waste. I swear. (in Japanese) You will suffer.

Yaeko:
Perhaps now you can live happily with his princess.

Hiro:
That's not how the story ends. It is the last trial. "Kensei and the Dragon". My father told it to me. The dragon who taught Kensei the way of the sword... demanded his love in return.

Yaeko:
What did Kensei do?

Hiro:
He cut out his own heart to save her. To save Japan.

Yaeko:
Is that what you must do now? Cut out your heart?

Hiro:
I nearly destroyed time by staying when I should have left. I must go back.

Yaeko:
As long as I have a voice, all shall know the tale of noble Takezo Kensei. The boy Hiro Nakamura will have tales to help him sleep.

Hiro:
And he will dream of the Princess.

Niki:
Does it hurt?

Mohinder:
Only when I breathe.

Mohinder:
I have something I need to tell you. I have been working with Bennet to take down this company.

Bob:
Why are you telling me this now?

Mohinder:
Because, I'm unsure if it's right, if it's wrong. And it's time to stop playing games.

Bob:
There's a storm coming Dr. Suresh.

Noah:
Your tiny rebellions are putting this family in danger!

Peter Petrelli:
[to himself] Adam, I don't know any Adam. [hears noise behind him, shoots bolt of lightning in direction, hits a hand that heals immediately]

Adam Monroe:
[emerging from behind armoire] Peter, what the hell was that?

Peter:
You know my name?

Adam:
Of course I do. You're Peter Petrelli. Don't you remember? We're going to change history.

Mohinder:

Elle:

Bob:

Elle:

Bob:
As I said before, you're safe here. But your brother is another story. He almost died.

Elle:
Because of you, Peter. Hey, it's not like it was your idea to go nuclear and take out half of New York City.

Elle:
[referring to her electric shocks] You'll get used to it. And then you'll start to like it.

Micah:
We could be like the Fantastic Four! Minus one, but still.

Adam:
You know, it's been a month. You still haven't told me your name.

Peter:
Please, I just wanna be left alone.

Adam:
You came to the right place. I have to warn you though, it does get a bit old. Let me guess, you were living a perfectly ordinary life until one day you discovered you could do incredible things. I bet it was wonderful at first. You thought perhaps you could save the world. And then you realized, tragically, that you were dangerous. I'll let you talk to me after a decade. Oh, actually, talk to me after three.

Peter:
If they wanna leave me in here forever that's fine by me.

Adam:
You've been through something awful haven't you? I'm sorry.

Peter:
I'm Peter.

Adam:
Hello, Peter. It's nice to meet you. I'm Adam.

Elle:
I accidentally set my grandmother's house on fire when I was six. Caused a blackout in four counties in Ohio when I was eight. I spent my ninth birthday in a glass room with an IV of lithium in my arm. I've lived in this building for sixteen years, ever since the shrinks diagnosed me as a sociopath with paranoid delusions - but they were just out to get me because I threatened to kill 'em. Bob:

Bob:
I hope you're using sunscreen?

Elle:
Ugh... Overprotective much?

Bob:
Mohinder, I would like you to meet my daughter, Elle.

Mohinder:
Your daughter!? She's the executioner!?

Elle:
What's your power? Punching bag?

Bob:
I hope you've been practicing your sharpshooting. I don't want Noah to get close to you.

Elle:
Hey fight club, check this out!

Sandra:
Did you really do what Claire said? Abduct him when he was just a boy?

Noah:
I thought we were doing good. Saving the world.

Elle:
Do you know what happens when you change your plans midstream?

Mohinder:

Elle:

Elle:
Don't you think if push came to shove he'd do the same to you?

Kaito:

Mohinder:
Have you killed many people?

Elle:
[defensively] How is that any of your business?

Mohinder:

Noah:

I have to do what I think is right. (pulls out a gun and points it at Noah) Start driving. (cocks the gun) Please.

Noah:
(after taking Mohinder's gun and punching him in the nose) You lie to me. Betray me. You come after my daughter. (cocks gun) How did you think it was gonna end?

Angela Petrelli:
(allowing Matt to read her thoughts) Are you trying to read my mind again? (speaking out aloud this time) I knew your father when he could do it. Frankly I'm even less impressed with you.

Matt:
(not losing his resolve) My father made you give yourself all those scars, didn't he? Did you know when his mind-reading became something more? When push became pull - and then he discovered that...he could put thoughts into...anyone's head?

Angela Petrelli:
(realizing that Matt can now manipulate people through his powers) Don't do this...

Noah:
Did you pack Mr. Muggles' doggy bath?

Noah:
[referring to Elle shocking herself] Stings like a bitch, doesn't it?

Noah:
Your father was leading the charge.

Elle:
I don't remember any of that.

Noah:
No memories, huh? Kind of like someone took them away? Why do you think I never let the company anywhere near Claire? I didn't want her to become you.

Young Hiro:
My father's going to die too?!

Hiro:
Not for a long time!

Young Hiro:
No! I must stop it. I am a hero!

Hiro:
Some things even Takezo Kensei cannot change. We cannot play god.

Young Hiro:
But I must honor him!

Hiro:
Listen to him. Learn from his lessons. Strength... responsibility... and justice.

Hiro:
I suppose this is... goodbye.

Kaito:
I've never time traveled before. I'm proud of you son.

Hiro:
Goodbye Father. Please give my love to Mother.

Angela:
The truth is that our generation mortgaged our souls to protect yours. Show a little respect for that. Let go of your daddy issues and let us be!

Noah:
No matter what I do, we'll always be running. But if you die, Bob, the company dies with you.

Mohinder:
Please, don't do this! (shoots Noah)

Hiro:
I refuse to eulogize my father. To eulogize him is to admit he is gone. My father is not dead. Kaito Nakamura taught me right from wrong. What it means to be a hero... so long as the lessons live on through me, he will never die. My father taught me to understand that certain things are in God's hands, but for everything else, God has given us the gift of choice. My father gave me the tools to fight the battles ahead. Every hand I extend in kindness is his hand. And every blow that I strike for justice is his fist. So long as the lessons he taught stay with me, and so long as he lives on in my heart, then my father is never truly dead.

Maya:
It's beautiful here, Gabriel. Thank you. I almost feel normal.

Sylar:
After you see Dr. Suresh you will be.

Maya:
And then Alejandro and I can go back home.

Sylar:
What if Alejandro could go home now?

Maya:
But I need my brother. He's the only one who can stop me from hurting anyone else.

Sylar:
What if you could learn to control your own power? I've seen people's power grow. Do you love your brother enough to let him go?

Maya:
Of course. It's... it's just not possible.

Sylar:
Well, you'll never know unless you try.

Maya:
We should get back. (Maya stands up.)

Sylar:
You put him through enough, Maya.

Maya:
Me?

Sylar:
He gave up his entire life for you, even after you killed his wife.

Maya:
It was an accident.

Sylar:
You really think he's forgiven you?

Maya:
She was cheating on him!

Sylar:
So you think she deserved to die?

Maya:
That is not what I meant.

Sylar:
But you wanted to kill her, didn't you Maya?

Maya:
Stop it. Let me go.

Sylar:
Where? Back to your brother? He hates you.

Maya:
Don't do this. Please! (Maya and Sylar's eyes go black.)

Sylar:
If you can control your power, no more innocent people have to die.

Maya:
I can't!

Sylar:
(voice hoarse) Help. You're killing me. Help... please. (their eyes return to normal.)

Maya:
You were right. I did it! (hugs Sylar.)

Victoria:
I knew blowing your head off was the only way to be sure. Better late than never.

Adam:
(marks a picture of Victoria with the double helix in his blood.) If anyone survives, I'll tell them I couldn't have done it without you.

Micah:
We need to be heroes like Dad.

Niki:
Being a hero is what got your father killed.

Claire:
I've fallen twenty stories. Been stabbed in the head. Crashed a car at 70 miles an hour. I've even been on fire. But this hurts... More than any of that. And it's not getting better. I've always gotten better, no matter what, but this just keeps getting worse.

Claire:
We can tell the world what they did. How they kidnapped me and murdered my father.

Elle:
You have no proof. No one would believe you.

Claire:
You're probably right. I guess I'm just gonna have to show them. (punches the driver's side window of Elle's car breaking it. Shows the cuts on her hand to Elle as it heals) I'll show everyone exactly what I can do. Once the secrets out, you won't be able to touch me or my family. You'll be the ones running.

Bob:
I need you to keep an eye on Claire.

Elle:
It would be much easier to do if I didn't have this thing around my arm. It itches like a mother f-!

Bob:
And I thought my girl was tough.

Elle:
I am Dad, but I was shot! and my body doesn't heal itself.

Elle:
Watch who you're shoving, pom-pom!

Claire:
This isn't fair!

Elle:
Welcome to life!

Sylar:
Welcome home, Dr. Suresh. - What happened to your nose?

Mohinder:
Where's Molly?

Sylar:
Asleep. Keep your voice down, we don't want to wake her.

Mohinder:
What is it you want?

Sylar:
Breakfast? I hope you don't mind. Maya cooked. She makes the most amazing chilaquiles.

Maya:
It's such an honor to meet you.

Sylar:
He's the one that should be honored. Maya came all the way from South America just to be here, Mohinder.

Mohinder:
Really? Why's that?

Maya:
I read your father's book. He has so many answers, but I have so many more questions.

Sylar:
Sit, eat. I'm starving.

Maya:
When Gabriel told me you two knew each other, I knew fate brought us together.

Mohinder:
Gabriel. You mean Sylar, don't you? You do know this man is a killer?

Maya:
Yes. He told me.

Mohinder:
He did?

Maya:
And I am ashamed to admit that I have taken lives as well. I have this sickness that comes out of me. It poisons everyone around. I need your help, Dr. Suresh.

Mohinder:
So that's what this is about.

Sylar:
We both need your help.

Mohinder:
Why is that?

Sylar:
I was reading about your lab work on the laptop. The Shanti virus. Does it really take away a person's abilities?

Mohinder:
It also has the unfortunate side effect of killing the person affected.

Maya:
Is that why your powers are gone? That you have this virus? (Mohinder and Sylar stand at the same time, Mohinder with a knife and Sylar holding a gun. Mohinder drops his knife.)

Maya:
Gabriel, what are you doing?!

Sylar:
Maya, I need you to stay calm. Apparently, Mohinder, your blood is the answer to my ills.

Mohinder:
No, no, not always. Trust me, there are many different strains of the virus.

Sylar:
But when you mix it with a certain cheerleader's blood, it changes, doesn't it? And it heals anything. Isn't that right, doctor?

Maya:
You lied to me?

Mohinder:
I don't know what he told you, but he is not my friend. He's a monster. (Maya's eyes go black, as do Mohinder's and Sylar's.)

Sylar:
Maya! Do not spoil this!

Maya:
My brother was right not to trust you!

Sylar:
Do you really want to kill Dr. Suresh, the one man who can save you? (Molly screams in pain and walks in.)

Mohinder:
Molly!

Sylar:
And she dies... a sweet, innocent little girl. Stop it, Maya! Now!

Peter:
Hiro?

Hiro:
Peter Petrelli?

Peter:
What are you doing here?

Hiro:
Adam Monroe killed my father. And for that, he must pay.

Peter:
No! I can't let you hurt him.

Hiro:
Why are you protecting him?

Peter:
Adam is my friend.

Hiro:
He was my friend too. 400 years ago. He betrayed me. He will betray you.

Peter:
No! He saved my brother's life!

Hiro:
He murdered my father.

Peter:
Your father had him locked away for 30 years. I know, I was in that same prison. Hiro... I went into the future. There's a virus. It kills almost everyone. And it starts here. Today. Adam and I are gonna stop it.

Sandra:
You are really going through with this.

Claire:
They killed Dad, they're never going to leave us alone.

Sandra:
You do realize what'll happen to us if you tell everyone what we can do.

Claire:
Yes. No more running, no more hiding, no more secrets.

Sandra:
Your dad couldn't take down this company, Claire, what makes you think you can?

Claire:
I love you Mom, but I can't live in fear of some big "what if".

Bob:
Do you realize how much damage you've done by provoking Claire?

Elle:
I couldn't help it. She was just so... weepy, and earnest and... who knew she'd turn whistle-blower?

Bob:
It's totally unprofessional, not to mention petty. And Claire is not even in your league!

Elle:
She isn't working with a gunshot wound.

Bob:
You and I both know you have performed well below what you can do. You're benched. No more field assignments.

Elle:

Bob:
When I think about all the hard work I've put into raising you...

Elle:

Elle:

HRG:

Elle:
(creates a ball of electricity in her hand) I could make you tell me.

HRG:
You could try. (Elle lets the electricity in her hand disappear)

Elle:
Please. I don't have anyone else to talk to.

HRG:
They wanted to see how much wattage you could discharge. Enough to power a flashlight, street lamp, an entire city block? During testing you'd pass out from the strain. We'd all want to call it a day, but Daddy said, "No, my girl's tougher than that." You were seven. You know, the hardest thing a parent ever does is to have to see their child in pain. Most parents.

Bob:
Elle. What are you doing here?

Elle:
Leaving.

Peter:
Did you kill Hiro's father?

Adam:
I did. He saw to it that the virus be safely kept here. If he didn't plan to use it, why not destroy it?

Peter:
Why don't you make me believe you, Adam? Hiro said not to trust you.

Adam:
The woman you love is trapped in some horrible future where nearly everyone is dead. You can change that. She needs you, Peter. We all need you. To open that door.

Maya:
You're nothing like you said you were. Alejandro was right about you all along.

Sylar:
You wanna get rid of your powers, I want mine back. After Suresh fixes me, I'll gladly take yours off your hands. There's a bed over there. Stay put, stay calm, and remember... (holds up gun)

Molly:
Mohinder!

Mohinder:
It'll be okay, Molly, I promise.

Sylar:
So this is your... laboratory, huh? I killed that artist, Isaac Mendez, right on this very spot.

Mohinder:
I'm going to have to take a sample of your blood.

Sylar:
Why?

Mohinder:
You self-diagnosed. I need to know what strain of the virus you have, or if you even have it at all.

Sylar:
Just give me the remedy.

Mohinder:
It doesn't work like that. The wrong dosage will kill you. (allows Mohinder to take his blood.)

Sylar:
Your father helped me find my gift, now here you are restoring it. Life has its poetry, doesn't it?

Mohinder:
My father, who you murdered.

Sylar:
Your father, who betrayed me. Don't make that same mistake, Mohinder. (Mohinder roughly inserts needle to take his blood.) Ouch!

Nathan:
Listening to my mother has never led to anything good. If Peter becomes a problem, I'll handle him.

Hiro:
Flying Man!

Matt:
Who's this guy supposed to be?

Claire:
You won't leave me, will you, Mr. Muggles?

Maya:
I wish Alejandro was here to help.

Molly:
Who's that?

Maya:
He's my brother. I sent him away. Gabriel said...

Molly:
I can find him for you. Even if he's far away. So you know he's safe.

Maya:
You can? How?

Molly:
I just know where people are. I need a picture or something to think about.

Maya:
This is Alejandro. (pulls out a picture.) Here. (Molly concentrates.)

Molly:
He's not anywhere.

Maya:
But... If he's not anywhere... (Maya stands.)

Mohinder:
How--? You have the same strain of the virus Niki has. The company injected you as well.

Sylar:
Injected me? Someone did this to me?

Maya:
You killed him! You killed my brother!

Sylar:
(with an aggravated look on his face, Sylar turns around and shoots Maya.) Now look what you made me do.

Sylar:
Where is the "heal anything" blood?

Molly:
Please. (Mohinder takes it out of his bag.)

Sylar:
You had it here all along? You and I have trust issues, doctor. Give it to her, first. Let me see you save her. Then if it works... I'll let you save me.

HRG:
You were right, Claire, when you said it was all my fault.

Sandra:
Noah!

HRG:
I never meant to hurt you.

Peter:
You're on the wrong side!

Nathan:
What about me, Pete?

Peter:
Nathan?

Nathan:
Am I on the wrong side, too?

Adam:
Wars, famine, disease. 400 years later, nothing has changed. When God wasn't happy with what he created, he made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights. He just washed it all away. He had the right idea, because when this virus is released, those of us who are left will be granted a second chance. And I'll be their hero.

Nathan:
Peter, that day at Kirby Plaza when I carried you away, it's because I believe in you. You're my brother, Pete. I love you.

Hiro:
(in Japanese) You are not God.

Adam:
Really? I've lived for over 400 years. Who's to say I'm not going to live 400 more?

Hiro:
(in Japanese) I should have killed you. Long ago. And I should kill you now. For my father.

Nathan:
We've been used by these people. Manipulated. But it's over. It stops here. No more secrets.

Peter:
So what do you wanna do?

Nathan:
We take this all public. We expose them for what they are. What they've done. That they're the enemy. I wanna have a press conference.

Ando:
(In Japanese) Hiro? Where have you been?

Hiro:
(In Japanese) I went to face my father's killer.

Ando:
(In Japanese) Well, did you find him? (Hiro nods) Did you kill him?

Hiro:
(In Japanese) He can never hurt anyone ever again.

Adam:
(Yelling) Let me out! Carp, Let me out! Carp! Let me out!

Sylar:
That's it? Just a simple injection? (Sylar takes the blood.) I'm sure Maya will understand if I'm not here when she wakes up.

Maya:
I thought... I was dead.

Mohinder:
You very nearly were.

Elle:
Sylar's gone. My dad's gonna kill me.

Mohinder:
I doubt that very much. If you hadn't arrived, Sylar would have slaughtered us all. We owe you our lives.

Elle:
Really? Cool.

Nathan:
Hey, you tried to do the right thing. You always do. You trusted that people were as good as you are. But if you see yourself as a monster, Peter, this guilt is just gonna eat you up inside. Believe me, I know. (Peter smiles.) What?

Peter:
Just really missed you.

Nathan:
I missed you too. (Nathan and Peter hug)

Nathan:
(giving a speech to a crowd of reporters in Texas) Good afternoon. Most of you have no idea who I am. My name is Nathan Petrelli and I was elected to Congress in the state of New York. It seems like a long time ago. I lost my position. I lost my brother. I lost my family. I'm sad to say that I lost my way. (after testing his restored powers by pulling a spinach can to himself) I'm back.
