Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (often abbreviated to Law & Order: SVU or just SVU) is an American police procedural, legal, crime drama television series set in New York City, where it is also primarily produced. In the style of the original Law & Order, episodes are often "ripped from the headlines" or loosely based on real crimes that have received media attention. Created by Dick Wolf, the series premiered on NBC on September 20, 1999, as the second series in Wolf's successful Law & Order franchise. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit has been nominated for and won numerous awards, including the 2006 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Mariska Hargitay, the first, and to date only, Emmy to be received by a regular on any Law & Order series. It is the current longest running scripted non-animated U.S. primetime TV series since the cancellation of the original Law & Order on May 24, 2010 and is the fourth-longest running scripted U.S. primetime TV series on a major broadcast network. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit originally centered almost exclusively on the detectives of the Special Victims Unit in a fictional version of the 16th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. As the series progressed, additional supporting characters were added as allies of the detectives in the New York County Manhattan District Attorney's office (known as advisers from the Sex Crimes Bureau) and the Medical Examiner's office. Certain episodes will go into detail about detectives' personal lives and how they may or may not tie into the crimes dealt with during the show. Typical episodes follow the detectives and their colleagues as they investigate and prosecute sexually based offenses, child abuse, and crimes against the elderly. The show starred Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler and Mariska Hargitay as Detective Olivia Benson for its first twelve seasons until the former left the cast, unable to come to an agreement on his contract. As of November 29, 2018, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit has aired 444 original episodes. On May 9, 2018, NBC renewed the series for a twentieth season, which allowed it to tie the flagship Law & Order and Gunsmoke for the longest-running scripted drama in U.S. television history. The season premiered on September 27, 2018.

Detective Olivia Benson:
[tosses the wallet onto the table in front of Sarah/Cindy] Recognize that? Cindy...

Sarah's Attorney:
[Sarah/Cindy looks up at Benson, startled] Her name is Sarah, Detective... Get your cases straight.

Detective Olivia Benson:
[points to the wallet] It belonged to John, your husband. The one you said abandoned you ten years ago.

[Sarah/Cindy is obviously confused. She picks up the wallet and looks at it]

Detective Olivia Benson:
This is what's left of him. He was shot in the back of the head and buried in the wall in the house where you lived.

Sarah's Attorney:
You're accusing my client of murder?

Detective Olivia Benson:
No. Just of being stupid. And gullible. You know, it's interesting how Abraham only surrounds himself with women and girls. There's no men anywhere. I wonder if he didn't like the competition.

Cindy Cramer:
[teary-eyed, shakes her head] No.

Detective Olivia Benson:
No? He killed your husband. The father of your child. What exactly does he have to do for you to stop defending him?

Cindy Cramer:
Abraham told me... that John fell in love with another woman. And I believe him.

Detective Olivia Benson:
[holds an evidence bag containing John's wedding ring in front of Sarah/Cindy] He was wearing it when he died.

[throws it onto the table; Sarah/Cindy picks it up and starts to cry]

Sarah's Attorney:
What do you want from her?

Detective Olivia Benson:
Abraham was last seen at Grand Central Station. He's going to wherever he's keeping Melanie. Now, she's gonna have her baby, he's gonna get his hands on her trust fund, and then your daughter is dead. Where are they?

Sarah's Attorney:
What are you offering?

Detective Olivia Benson:
A chance to do the right thing for Melanie. Something you've never done her entire life.

Sarah's Attorney:
That's not good enough.

Cindy Cramer:
[still clutching her husband's wedding ring] Up north. This warehouse.

[Claire Rinato wakes up in a hospital bed and sees Detective Fin Tutuola reading a paper at her bedside after him saving her from a drug over dose]

Fin Tutuola:
Trying to take the easy way out?

Claire Rinato:
And if I was?

Fin Tutuola:
Then it's too bad I got there in time.

Claire Rinato:
I really didn't mean to overdo it. Really.

Fin Tutuola:
That's what all Junkies say.

Claire Rinato:
You've done your good deed, now you can go.

[Fin looks up from his paper]

Fin Tutuola:
Maybe you don't get it, you're in serious trouble, if you don't pay attention you're going to prison.

Claire Rinato:
Are you still here?

[Fin looks back down at his paper]

Fin Tutuola:
I really can't believe, you know I almost bought it. How you took care of your sister and loved her. Damn girl, you're better than the soaps.

Claire Rinato:
You have no idea what it feels like to have a mother that doesn't give a damn about you.

Fin Tutuola:
Violins gonna start any minute.

Claire Rinato:
Screw you. Lisa was all I had. She was actually happy to see me come through the door. Unconditional love is a rush.

[Fin puts the paper away and comes to closer to the bed]

Fin Tutuola:
Give it to me straight. You kill her?

Claire Rinato:
No, but I couldn't protect her. Grace was too strong. She told me, that if I didn't keep my mouth shut, I was next.

Fin Tutuola:
You tell anybody?

Claire Rinato:
I called my grandmother the first time I was alone, but she was recovering from another stroke and I guess she didn't believe me.

Fin Tutuola:
If that's how it went down, then it wasn't your fault.

Claire Rinato:
That little girl trusted me to keep her safe. How is it not my fault?

Detective Dave Duethorn:
Yo, Lucates. Take this couple up to Homicide and have Kroling get their statements, alright?

Detective Elliot Stabler:
[walking from behind] Detective Dave Duethorn. Missed dinner with my wife and kids; this better be good. [they begin walking to the home]

Detective Dave Duethorn:
Two naked women; fluids everywhere; both raped and shot in the head.

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
That's our bread and butter.

Detective Dave Duethorn:
So, I guess the two head-shot naked guys with them are nothing special, right? [they enter and Stabler looks back at Fin as a response to Duethorn's statement]

Detective Dave Duethorn:
What do y'think?

Detective Elliot Stabler:
Looks like the party from hell.

Detective Dave Duethorn:
Dinner party, to be exact.

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
With an orgy for dessert.

Detective Dave Duethorn:
Except they never made it to the appetizer. [points] Dining room table's still set. And check that out.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
[reads] "Happy Engagement; share wonderful lives together." There's no signature; who's the unlucky couple here?

Detective Dave Duethorn:
Evan Briggs and his fiancee Melissa Ziman. Other two are Dean McCarren and Regina Valerio. The couple who found them made the IDs. Evan and Melissa invited some grad school friends over to celebrate.

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Not the type of evening you expect to turn into a sexual free-for-all.

Detective Dave Duethorn:
I'm thinkin' home invasion. [walks further into house as he talks] Doorbell rings, victim opens door, wacko busts in and robs 'em.

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
You got four victims. Got to be at least two perps.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
What did they take?

Dr. Melinda Warner:
All the victims' jewelry. Marks on the men's wrists indicate they wore watches. The women wore necklaces.

Detective Dave Duethorn:
Their wallets and IDs are also gone, along with Ms. Ziman's two-and-a-half carat engagement ring. The couple who found them told me she got it last week. Oh, and there's something else, right, Doc?

Dr. Melinda Warner:
[bent down by a body] Both men were beaten, probably with the business end of an automatic.

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Something must have set them off.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
Pummeled the men and raped the women.

Dr. Melinda Warner:
Not just the women.

Detective Dave Duethorn:
Excuse me?

Dr. Melinda Warner:
[turns to look at Duethorn] The men were raped, too. [turns back to the downturned body]

Chester Lake:
Been to Brooklyn lately?

Kara Bawson:
No. I've been too busy setting up the new exhibit to go anywhere but the gallery.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
How about Hudson University? You spend any time on campus?

Kara Bawson:
No, but I used to date a guy who got his MBA there.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Y'recognize her? [holds picture of raped college student]

Kara Bawson:
No. Why?

Chester Lake:
She was attacked by the same guy who raped you.

Tom Bawson:
[enters] Sweetie, you ready to go?

Kara Bawson:
Not yet, Dad. These are police officers.

Tom Bawson:
Honey, you wanna go upstairs and finish packing? [He gently leads her into a hug and she stoically leaves the scene as he looks back at her]

Chester Lake:
She's taking a trip?

Tom Bawson:
After what she's been through, Kara needs to get away and rest.

Chester Lake:
Your daughter's a victim of a rape. We need her here until we finish our investigation.

Tom Bawson:
Our numbers in Italy. Call if you have something. [turns to leave]

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
[Fin and Chester follow him] You're not helping by yanking her out of the country.

Tom Bawson:
The press is all over this case.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
They can't print her name.

Tom Bawson:
Everyone knows she works in that gallery! We're trying to protect her from rumors.

Chester Lake:
We will call your daughter. I think she's connected to some of my cases in Brooklyn.

Tom Bawson:
This bastard has raped other women?

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
An Asian-American college student was attacked a couple of days ago.

Tom Bawson:
Asian-American? Start with Oliver Mitsakos.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Who's that?

Tom Bawson:
Kara's ex-fiance. My squash partner runs the hedge fund where Oliver works. He told me this little jerk has a thing for young Asian hookers.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
[Title card: Hudson University; Alexander Hall; Thursday, December 7] We can't call her house and her cell phone's disconnected. [walking with Lake and Ken]

Chester Lake:
And the only time we can see her is when she's at school.

Ken Randall:
That'll be tough; her father's always with her, watching her like a hawk.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Well, if he sees us, we're facing a lawsuit.

Chester Lake:
Look, can't you get us somewhere we can talk to her in private?

Ken Randall:
She's in class right now. I'll go in, say the dean wants to see her. [walks away to Ming's class; cut to him exiting behind a deer caught in headlights Ming]

Ming Hao:
I can't talk to them. [walks away]

Ken Randall:
Please; they have a lead.

Ming Hao:
[still walking quickly] My father's waiting for me. Leave me alone.

Ken Randall:
Another girl was attacked.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Just look at the picture.

Ming Hao:
[turns and looks] I know him. That's Oliver Mitsakos. He was a T.A. for Intro to Econ my freshman year.

Chester Lake:
[Fin and Lake exchange multiple glances] You have any contact with him outside the classroom?

Ming Hao:
He tried to make me come to his office hours, but I wouldn't.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Why not?

Ming Hao:
He always flirted, but he was aggressive about it.

Chester Lake:
Was he ever physical or violent?

Ming Hao:
It wasn't like that. Just... really desperate. [shakes head slightly] It creeped me out. [face shows realization; slightly raises her voice] Do you think he did this to me?

Oliver Mitsakos:
[Oliver backs into interrogation grate as Fin menacingly comes after him] I would never rape anyone; you gotta believe me.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Why? You lied about knowing Ming.

Oliver Mitsakos:
She was in my class 3 years ago; she barely spoke; I barely remember her!

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
She remembers you. "Come to my office for a little one on one tutoring."

Oliver Mitsakos:
I never said that!

Chester Lake:
Well, what did you say?

Oliver Mitsakos:
I - I told her that she needed extra help because her papers were poorly written.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
[puts him in the chair] You're still lyin', kid; you flirted with her every day!

Chester Lake:
[behind Oliver] You were aggressive.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
And desperate.

Oliver Mitsakos:
That was a long time ago.

Chester Lake:
[leans in front of Oliver on his hands] Old wounds still burn. So you went back and raped all the women who've rejected you.

Oliver Mitsakos:
[frustrated] No!

Chester Lake:
Anna. [slams picture on table] She dump you? Maya. [slams her picture on the table] Break your heart? Rose. [slams picture on table] Blow you off? Is that why you raped and murdered them?

Oliver Mitsakos:
I don't know those people!

Chester Lake:
[sits and c*cks head] Let me tell you about them. You thought they were all Brooklyn trash. Nothin' but warm-ups for your ultimate target. Kara Bawson, your ex-fiance.

Oliver Mitsakos:
[laughs and smiles with mirth] You're crazy.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Naw; you lost your meal ticket and your chance of getting rich quick.

Chester Lake:
You wanted revenge.

Oliver Mitsakos:
[leans forward] I didn't do anything. I swear.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
[knock on door; Elliot enters] Fin. Moment? [turns and exits so Fin can follow him] You just got an emergency call, urgent. [Chester comes out]

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
You can talk. That's Chet Lake, Brooklyn SVU.

Chester Lake:
Chester. [shakes Elliot's hand]

Detective Elliot Stabler:
Elliot. [sighs] You got the wrong guy. Your perp just hit again. Victim's in the E.R. at Mercy. Name's Edie Rimpo. [Chester and Fin look at each other shocked and walk away to go to Mercy and talk to Edie]

Ming Hao:
[off-screen] When I got off the subway, the platform was empty. [a shot of Fin, then showing Ken by her, listening to her story; Ming sniffs] I was headed for the stairs, and all of a sudden a man grabbed me.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
[quietly] Take your time.

Ming Hao:
He dragged me behind a pillar. [shudderingly gasps] He bent me down. He put his hand over my mouth.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Did you get a look at him.

Ming Hao:
Only for a second. He had a bandana around his face. I closed my eyes.

Ken Randall:
What did he do?

Ming Hao:
He made me tell him I liked it while he did it to me. [shudderingly gasps] Then he started choking me.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
What happened next?

Ming Hao:
I heard shouting. People yelling "stop." He got up and ran away.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Did you see who was shouting?

Ming Hao:
No; when I opened my eyes, everyone was gone. [Ken looks back at his father, slightly shaking his head]

Ken Randall:
They must've chased him.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
[sincerely] You're doin' good, okay? This is gonna help us catch the guy that hurt you.

Ming Hao:
I don't wanna go to court; my parents will find out.

Ken Randall:
It's okay, Ming. You're not the first girl at Hudson to get raped. [quietly sobs in gasps and then gets up]

Ming Hao:
[to Fin] I knew I shouldn't have come here. I can't do this. [turns and retreats as Ken looks at her go and looks back desperately at his father]

Ken Randall:
I blew it.

Det. Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
[without emotion] Fix it. [Ken gets up quickly and exits after Ming; Fin sits, somewhat affected]

Detective Elliot Stabler:
[in a therapy session after Elliot beats up a cop who was beating up his teenage son; talking about Elliot's memories of his father] [Dr. Hendrix asks if Elliot's father ever helped him with his homework] Once, when I was in fifth grade. I had to make this diorama. Remember those things? The model you put in shoe boxes?

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
Sure.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
It was about the Civil War. And he told me where the put the cannons, and the soldiers, the trees... Nay, forget it.

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
Did you get a good grade?

Detective Elliot Stabler:
What?

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
Did you get a good grade?

Detective Elliot Stabler:
What difference does that make?

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
It's just a question.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
I don't understand what you want from me.

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
The truth. I want you to start talking... really talking. What grade did you get on the diorama?

Detective Elliot Stabler:
An F!

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
You failed.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
I didn't hand it in.

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
Why not?

Detective Elliot Stabler:
I moved one of the trees. And my father saw it as I was leaving for school. He took it out of my hands and he threw it on the ground and he stomped on it.

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
It must have really hurt when he did that.

Detective Elliot Stabler:
He took off his belt and he beat me with it... Because I cried... and only... pan... pansies cry... [he starts to cry] He said I was weak, and called me a failure. He called me that a lot.

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
What did you see in that mirror today, Elliot?

Detective Elliot Stabler:
The guy my father always saw.

Dr. Rebecca Hendrix:
You're not weak. You're so busy being strong, and helping everyone, you've got nothing left for yourself. It takes a lot more balls to talk about your problems, than beat the hell out of a ghost.

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
[Watching Leon through window] I'm surprised he said as much as he did.

Captain Donald Cragen:
He has the personality of a repeater: he can do no wrong andnothing is his fault. [sound of door; Cragen looks back and Elliot walks in]

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
[off-screen] What was he in prison for?

Elliot Stabler:
Five years; sodomy two, after I finally convinced one of the numerous underage girls he'd had oral sex with to come forward and file a complaint; now he's escalating to intercourse.

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
You're speculating, Elliot. [gets up] He wasn't in the act when you stopped him. That's a problem.

Elliot Stabler:
Attempted rape two, attempted reckless endangerment because he didn't disclose that he was H.I.V. positive. W... where's the problem here?

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
We can't hold him based on what he might do.

Elliot Stabler:
So, we're supposed to wait until after he infects the girl?

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
She consented. His attorney will say he was carrying condoms and planned to use them; we can't prove otherwise.

Elliot Stabler:
We know that Leon was about to have unprotected sex with a minor. Now we cut him loose, he's going to.

Captain Donald Cragen:
You got anything in your bag of tricks, Counselor, now's the time to pull it out.

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
I have something, but I'll have to check and I'll have to involve your psychiatrist.

Captain Donald Cragen:
I'll give him a call.

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
Get him Tate's prison history, arrest records; whatever you can find.

Elliot Stabler:
Leon's rap sheet starts when he was seven years old. He had 11 arrests by his 13th birthday. The record was sealed because he was a juvenile.

Captain Donald Cragen:
Let's get 'em unsealed. [they nod at each other and Alexandra exits and Elliot follows]

Captain Donald Cragen:
Elliot. [Elliot turns in the doorway and Cragen gestures] Close the door.

Elliot Stabler:
Yeah?

Captain Donald Cragen:
[arms tightly crossed] I don't remember telling you to tail Leon Tate.

Elliot Stabler:
I heard he was out; just keepin' my eye on him.

Captain Donald Cragen:
Well, this squad doesn't have enough bodies for you and your partner to go freelancing.

Elliot Stabler:
[nods understandingly] I'd like to think that we saved a young girl's life tonight.

Captain Donald Cragen:
[begins walking] And we would need a new unit if we were to follow every perv that we thought might repeat. Leon Tate did his time. And until somebody makes a complaint, he has rights.

Elliot Stabler:
This guy's penis is a deadly weapon and he's got a thing for young girls. They got rights, too.

Captain Donald Cragen:
Until Cabot gives us the word, you back off. Are we clear? [Elliot is silent]

Fin Tutuola:
Problem is, even if the woman lies about her age, it's still the man's fault.

John Munch:
[waves pencil in the air from a desk behind Fin] Ignorance is no defense.

Olivia Benson:
[walks in with papers] Lashika Morris is 14; she's not a woman; she's a girl.

Fin Tutuola:
What's the guy supposed to do? Check the girl's birth certificate? I'm just as opposed to rape as everybody else in this room. But if she wanted to have sex, that's her choice. She wasn't forced.

Elliot Stabler:
[monotone, interrupting] She's a minor; what she wants isn't relevant. [Alexandra and George walk in]

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
[cautious, curious] Are we interrupting?

John Munch:
Friendly disagreement. [gets up] Care to join in?

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
I cam e to tell you that the D.A. is allowing us to move on Leon Tate.

Olivia Benson:
[looks back and gets up] On what grounds?

Dr. George Huang:
[off-screen] Based upon the reports that I read, I think that I can make a case that Mr. Tate has antisocial personality disorder.

Elliot Stabler:
That's what I've been saying all along.

Dr. George Huang:
No empathy, no conscience, no thought for the possible consequences of his actions.

Olivia Benson:
So, he knows what he's doing is wrong.

Dr. George Huang:
And he doesn't care. Most people with H.I.V. act responsibly when it comes to practicing safe sex. Tate either can't control or won't control his impulses, which make him a repeat sex offender.

Elliot Stabler:
Yeah; he's a sexual predator. Now he's definitely a danger to others.

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
Which is the standard set by the Supreme Court.

Dr. George Huang:
[off-screen] Do we know how he contracted H.I.V.?

Elliot Stabler:
Yeah. Shooting dope; he found out when he was tested in prison. [slaps file on desk]

Dr. George Huang:
One fix wipes away any self-control that Tate has left, making him even more likely to have unprotected sex with a minor.

Olivia Benson:
And this is already in the works?

A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot:
We argue the motion for a commitment hearing this afternoon. It would be a big help if you could be there in case the judge has any questions about Tate's past.

Elliot Stabler:
[small smile, straightening back up to his desk] I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Kev:
Ohh-kay. Well, I have nothing on file for yourczarina.com other than that someone wired in some money from offshore. That's all I got.

Detective Amanda Rollins:
Okay, then give us the I.P. address and the wire info and we'll take it from there.

Kev:
Uh, I can't do that because our clients pay us top dollar to maintain their privacy. So if you want that information, you've gotta come back in with a search warrant, okay?

Detective Amanda Rollins:
I don't think you understand.

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Let's get something straight. First, spit that lollipop out, before I smack it out your mouth. You're not a five-year-old.

Detective Amanda Rollins:
You make us get a warrant, we're gonna call the feds.

Kev:
Uh, well, we're not doing anything illegal here.

Detective Amanda Rollins:
This place here is a front, your server is illegal, and we're gonna hold you responsible for all of the crimes on all of the sites.

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
We're gonna shut this toilet down and put your little ass in jail. You understand me - jail. Where you're gonna be suckin' on somethin' else. Now, what you wanna do? You want that?

Kev:
No, no I don't want that, so I'm gonna help you out. But can we not call in the feds on this? Is that cool?

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
We don't like them anyway.

Kev:
Great, so we're on the same page. Um, this is the physical address of the last place that the website was logged into and changed. Okay. So that's the best that I can do for you. Okay? So are we cool now?

Detective Amanda Rollins:
[dialing her phone] Yeah, yeah, we're done here.

Kev:
Great.

FBI Agent:
[bursting into the room] F.B.I., hands up now! Move away from your keyboards.

Kev:
Come on, you lied to me?

Detective Odafin 'Fin' Tutuola:
Yup!

Detective Amanda Rollins:
Ain't life a b*tch?

Teresa Randall:
[Fin brings Ken to his mother, Theresa's house from the police station] Oh, my God, what happened to you?

Ken Randall:
It's not a big deal, Mom.

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
Yes it is. He got pinched on a Class E felony and two misdemenors.

Teresa Randall:
For what? What do we need to do?

Ken Randall:
Why are you asking him? I can handle this myself.

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
Yeah. Looks like you got it covered.

Ken Randall:
[stares at Fin] I'm going to bed. [Ken leaves; Theresa glares at Fin]

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
That look doesn't work on me anymore.

Teresa Randall:
Our son was beaten and arrested and you couldn't pick up a phone?

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
I just found out myself. I'm looking for Darius. You know where I can find him?

Teresa Randall:
What's he got to do with this?

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
What, something I should know?

Teresa Randall:
Darius is poison and always will be. Of course, you were never around much and that hasn't changed.

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
You still ain't pulling punches. When I was working undercover, I warned you I'd be gone a lot.

Teresa Randall:
You weren't gone a lot, you were just gone.

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
I must've been around sometime or is Ken not my son?

Teresa Randall:
I see your lips moving, but I still haven't heard why he was in jail.

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
Ask him! It might not have been an issue if he had to use my last name.

Teresa Randall:
[Theresa shows Fin the door] If you haven't heard, sperm donors don't get parental rights!

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola:
Cool. Just tell me where Darius is and I'm gone.

Teresa Randall:
Al's Auto Body on Frederick Douglass. [Fin leaves; Theresa shuts the door]
